[Fiend]

Kev's friend is the third person I've come across in the last two years that went the very same way. So normal and so lethally dangerous everyone needs to be aware of how easy it is happen.

I know of someone else that the very same thing happened. Drunk. Fell down stairs. Now in a wheelchair. I probably wont be too popular for saying this but drink has a lot to answer for. If the number of injuries / needless deaths were counted out each year directly caused by alcohol I think people would be shocked. Certainly compared to drugs. I gave up last year and although I miss the craic I'm glad I did because it was killing me. I'm no angel and still smoke weed but I've had my fill with alcohol. Sorry this happened Kev and I hope your friend makes it thru.

Can't say I know the chap or his people but a brief scan of his profile photos revealed his persuasion towards an intense feeling of dislike towards the Irish.

Met new manager last Friday who only started last week. UK guy. Said he moved down from Dublin for the job. Had big plans for the place and sounded optimistic. Used to work in Silks I think.

It really is crazy how fragile the human head can be. Had a friend who fell over, just over a year ago, hit his head off a bollard and ended up in a very very bad way.

Thankfully after a lot of rehab (learning to speak again etc) he has pretty much recovered.

My Girlfriend got offered a job that has training this saturday so I had to cancel teh whole thing (she was really desperate to get this job)

Not too bad though because;

1. It hasnt cost me that much $$$ wise
2. I now get to watch a weekend of sports without being nagged
3. Im still the nice guy and she feels like she owes me one
4. she said she has something planned to make it up to me

All in all it a pretty sweet result

Out cycling with the young lad (7) yesterday in forest park. For once he had his cycling helmet on. Stopped to climb a tree. On the way to the tree he slipped on a damp log and fell face first onto a sharp rock. All went into slow motion and major alarms started going off in my head as he fell.
Luckily the peak of his helmet stopped his face smashing off the rock. At the time we just laughed it off and moved on. But looking back now considering what has been said it was one hell of a piece off good luck. Breathtaking actually. Don't think I'd be able to go on if anything serious happened to him.

Still halfpissed, played all night in Tags with all the dealers etc some craic. 10c 25c cash with straddles and antes etc great craic. Gutted for Tag after such a great start KK v AK v AK, the AJ four handed was a cooler really he was getting just under 2/1 v a hyper aggro player. Toms exit was sick, but he took it really well and was in flying form, challenging people to matches on the HU machine lol just lumping wads on the table .

Going for a work trial on Wednesday fitting tyres, really hope it works out. Only ever changed a tyre properly once and that was in college as our garage didn't do it. Its very teadious and hard on the back. A year and half out of work will feel great to be back in emplyment after not being able to work for so long!!

Thanks all for the wishes and thoughts. Unfortunately Brian passed at about midday today. We heard yesterday that the docs thought it was more than just fall, which is what it turns out. He'd had an aneurysm which began to bleed Saturday night, he was babbling nonsense for a while but that was put down to just drunk crap, he'd passed out on the top of the stairs at home obviously got up at some stage and fell.

Cant believe it went from out in the pub having a laugh to less than 48 hours later this situation.
