How's the golf coming along?

weird was goin great, like usually paring/+1 most holes, massive progress...then last tuesday week went out and couldnt hit a ball, put it down to post i open tiredness, out again thursday(day of flies) same shit...was like i went back to starting again....out to driving range couple days back, same shit, got 100 balls gave up after 50, real pissed off as had put alotta time into it...

went for lesson today to see whats what + got to bottom o things, hitting range again morrow, fingers crossed

We've fought so hard as a team the last few weeks, it really has been a monumental slog.
To have our team in second with one game to go is all we could have asked for. The lads have been brilliant and it's been a proper team effort.

The prize for seond place is good but we entered this to win it, and that's what we'll be trying to do next Thursday night. We haven't been in this for second place from the getgo and we won't be settling for that at this stage.


We're going to finish the job next week,if we don't it won't be for lack of effort. We entered this to win it and that's what we'll try and do.

We've yet to end up at each others table. We've got to 2nd without 2 or more of us making the final 3 tables in the same tournament, so we're hoping that we've saved it for next week! Last night had the smallest amount of runners i think with 315.

Cheers Mellor. Yeah we've been keeping tabs on other teams but nothing untoward at the moment. The team in the lead seem pretty good. I think they scooped the Vegas package in 2009 on Laddies

He is sound but his boss is a complete slimey cunt. and was sitting at the desk behind him.

Haven't heard a word since, that was 2 weeks ago.

Couldnt find the ready made dough, so used the powder mix packet stuff where you just add a little water. Will do with the raw ingredients next time, but had no access to a mixer, and had a serious craving!

One beds don't come up often where I am, there is one up at the moment and they are asking 850. My letting agent listed a one bed at 750 a few months ago (I mentioned this to him). I pointed out that a two bed in the place was asking 1000 (other 2 beds were asking 1150, sometimes more, that range of asking prices is ridic).

Also, I was just about to edit my post to add all this sh1te which further complicates matters:

A couple of days ago, I noticed a water problem (fml), some floodage (which originated from the bath/shower) had seeped through a small boiler room off the bathroom and into the bedroom soaking part of the carpet. Ordinarily, I'd just call up and say 'hey your apt is fucked' however I realised quickly that I may have caused it.
A week ago I unscrewed the bath plug hole to try and clean it out a bit (it wasn't badly blocked but I was bored and feeling productive), pretty sure I think I didn't tighten it enough
and this is likely the source. Trying to dry out carpets and dry up the water which has spread also behind the bathroom sink and to the front door of the apt (which has warped a small bit at the bottom and doesn't open as smoothly as it used to, this I noticed a few days ago and should have realised something was up).

So fml, it would have been nice to hear from the letting agent with positive news before I was calling to say 'hey your apt is fucked, I did it', not that I'm sure that I'll say that exactly.

The lease continues on a rolling basis if not renewed or terminated, so you are obligated to pay it if you don't want to leave. However, what you can do is set up a holding account and put your rent into that. As long as you inform them of this, and provide them with the account details and balances showing that the rent is held, they basically have to act on whatever your grievance is or they won't see any money.

Decent days normality defering yesterday. Got the sneaky dip in the 40 foot early doors, mosied into town and saw 13 Assigns, a film that leaves an impression at the very least, got the yumyums essen before tackling Jps 6 handed.Drank 4 beers and managed to come 3rd for 2k brick. Solid. Back to the booooks.

Tell them immediately about the fault, it's only going to get worse. It doesn't matter if you did it, they should be insured against this kind of thing, but you are obligated to report it as soon as you find it. Anyway you can just say you found a loose nut and a leak, tightened it and all's ok now, but you should report the water damage and get them to properly assess it. In the meantime, haggling over the rent would be pretty silly.
