- Draw out a plan of the house and in each room point out exactly where you want the ports.

- For your switch:
* Make sure you leave more than enough ports for extra devices down the line. If you have counted 20 ports used up, buy a 48 port or 2x 24port switches.
* Get a PoE switch so that you can power access points or IoT stuff directly from CAT6.

Yeah, looks good, the most recent figures anyway. BHA say there are now approx 1450 fixtures per year, so at 6.5 races a meeting that would be 9400 races. Evenings, all weather and Sundays have all been expanding for the last two decades which would explain the consistent increase.
