Not losing today's game has to be the objective imo. I'm now worried that - the myth of Schmidt having being shattered last week - we're on course for another typical Ireland WC. A win today and solid warm up matches are required to rebuild momentum.

It's our championship, of course it matters. It cements our status as a top team,
we have never been this good. Despite the shite spouted on here, we were the better team in many aspects last week and the palpable disappointment is in paralell with how much we've improved. I think it's great that we have an international team that can now compete with the best in the world. Only the All Blacks (WC bottlers) are a class above us. If we bow out I'm sure we'll do it on the front foot as opposed to the O'Gara inspired back feet. Down with this sort of thing.

He sure is, but I genuinely thought he was a messiah that was going to mastermind us all the way to the WC final given the way we'd been grinding teams out during the Autumn and in the Championship so far. I have NEVER been as confident in Irish Rugby as I was before kickoff last Saturday.
