Inexperience showed a lot there from MvG. Awesome stuff though from Taylor to win 5 sets on the bounce

So, onto the BDO..
What chance on this being Tony O Shea's year? He's gotten me so close over the last 5 years and thinking of giving him 1 more chance this year! He's in the opposite half of the draw to Waites and Adams.
Tricky 1st round tie vs Walton but Douglas/Stone shouldn't cause him too much trouble in the next round. He will meet Green/Kist in the quarters (lol @ Kist not being in the top 16 seeds, wp BDO) and should be get through that, will meet one of Bunting/Harms imo. Might get a 16/1 sweat.
In the opposite half, can't see too much further than Waites so will sweat with a guy that he could meet in the semi's in Jan Dekker. He lost the semi's v Winstanley in 2011 and went out to eventual winner Kist in the 1st round last year. I know nothing about his 1st round opponent de Graaf, and then he has Robson/Thompson in the next before beating Wolfie in the quarters. I need to give the Mrs a break from Darts so won't be watching much of it, so we'll have a sniffle @ 40/1 and see what happens
@ Finkel/Starvin Marvin any one esle, any value match bets in the 1st round?

BDO
I think O'Shea could get to the final again, I think Harms is his main danger in the top half (will be having some @ 18/1)
Waites is obviously the man to beat but has yet to perform to his potential at the lakeside, he's probably gonna be under extra pressure because it could be his last decent shot at winning a world championship ( he's a almost a certainty to join the PDC next year)
Dekker & Jennings both @ 40/1 could provide a bit of interest on that side..."the impossible is often untried"

Also lol at you. You have shown your true colours tonight. Mug punter opinions are no use to anyone. Put a bet on a big checkout in round one pal!

You are right in saying this though... ''Mug punter opinions are no use to anyone''.
That is why nobody listens to you. Even I am better than you Finkle.

Hamilton and Newton are number 6 and 7 in the world and have been ultra consistent over the past 12-18 months and fully deserve their places.
Thornton is the one who can count himself a bit fortunate to have gotten the nod over Chisnall.Originally posted by ArmaniJeansI like this heat - some proper music innit.
None of the 'black disabled lesbian warbling backwards' stuff that the other players inflicted on me.

It was the same with the Premier League snooker. In the early years they had Jimmy White/Steve Davis and some others involved that weren't near the top of the rankings but pulled the crowd in. The last few years have been a joke imo. Granted it's some of the top players in the world, but seeing Bingham beat Trump in the final that had Ding and Mark Allen involved meant for so many dull matches. Can't please everyone they should definetly take the TV and players appeal into opinion when picking wild cards.

Would much rather see some flair players involved.

Newton and Hamilton have been much better than the so called flair players and are capable of big averages or they wouldn't be where they are in the rankings.
If Newton is going to get run over god knows what would happen to VVDV or some of the other names I am seeing getting thrown about.
Snooker is basically boring as fuck though, I only watch the big ones, would never watch the PL.

You would have said the same about Painter and Thornton before they won one.
They are the best two players to have never won a tv tournament at the moment.Last edited by Starvin Marvin; 03-01-13, 15:10.Originally posted by ArmaniJeansI like this heat - some proper music innit.

Not great detail mind. Flushdraw probably has something better
Really unusual that the reigning world champ isnt one of the 16 seeds

Much prefer to see kist still in myself but the 15/8 was a nice price if green could hit his doubles..turned out he was allowed to miss his usual 3/4 darts a leg and still get through.
