Given the music chatter i thought i'd mention i'm doing a stall tomorrow and Sunday at the Dublin Music, CD & Record Fair in Film Base in Temple Bar (opposite Button Factory). €2 entry for the whole weekend.

It's the biggest of its kind in the country and apparently this weekend's will be the biggest ever.

Myself and my buddy have about 600 records and a few hundred other pieces (books, tapes, CDs, a couple of DVDs) we'll be offering up to the discerning and otherwise from as little as €1.

No drum & Bass or dubstep but lots of house, techno, electronica, minimal, trance and other dance styles as well as punk/metal/hip hop CDs and tapes.

Our piece de resistance is an original pressing of Shed's 'Well Done My Son' at a bargain €60. (The cheapest original copy on the web is currently €80)

Went to Rancho Reillys Pet farm in Carlow today. It was great, Mia loved it and didnt want to come home. Very reasonable 5 euro for kids and 2.50 for adults.

Lovely big cosy coffee shop with home made treats and big old leather couches. When paying you get a ticket for a ride on a tractor with about 10 seats behind, the seats are made of old plastic drums with 2 wheels at each side. Mad crack, Mia was in stitches laughing.

Loads of animals, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Snakes , Bearded Dragon, Ponies, Donkeys, Goats and a few others. You can hold most of the small ones for as long as you like all very very tame. I was leaning up against a fence and a goat headbutted me so I would rub him , every time I moved up or down the fence he would follow nudging at me. lol

Huge sand pit there, go carts on a track, swings , obsticle course, Trampolines which are sunk into the ground so no accidents. Everything seemed to be made from stuff that was on the farm like old tyres, ropes etc .

Plenty there for small kids too. loads of picnic tables, garden furniture etc, visitors are welcome to bring their own food.

Im using an internet connection that takes around ten minutes to open a page atm, youtube vids are dream territory. Any chance of an old school written post!

Some background to appeal to the BB threads sensibilities. I told the other half I was doing a cooking course at night, as she was sick of my utter ineptness and real life drooling tendancies, so everynight Id falsely describe some new dish I had learnt. Obv there was no course and used the time to gain a finer apprectiation of the Guiness in my area.

So anywho, mini anniversary tomorrow and she says she would like to try that omlette dish (bacon, tomatoes and peppers that I learnt) for breakfeast.

I'm retarded at making omelettes, so at least should be at your level here.

Chop up the bacon and peppers and start cooking in a frying pan. While it's cooking, crack your eggs in a bowl and start whisking them (2-3 eggs per person, the more the merrier for texture though). Add black pepper and other random spices and herbs to the eggs as you whisk.

I don't like tomatoes so don't know what to do with them really, I guess put them in when the bacon is done.

Pour the beaten eggs over the rest of the stuff in the pan and let it cook for a couple of minutes, making sure it doesn't stick to the bottom.

At this point decide how important presentation is. My omelettes look like someone threw up on a plate because I'm unable/don't really try to flip them in one piece, but they taste very nice.

Chop up bacon, tomatoes and peppers, fry up bacon with peppers in a light amount of butter. Sprinkle in some paprika while its frying. Leave to sit, add in tomatoes with a nudge of black pepper.

Beat up eggs, with a little cream and salt and pepper.

Fry eggs in separate pan, making sure to keep nudging the spatula under the egg. As eggs near completion, pour bacon peppers and tomato on top of eggs, and fold over omelette with spatula, give it a few more seconds in pan and voila.

Thats how I would do it anyway.
