I had this drunken debate with two friends on Sat night about what is natural and what is unnatural.

I'm of the opinion that the word 'unnatural' should not exist as there is not a thing in the universe that it can describe.

The conversation was mostly about man made items etc but paedophilia was the hot topic. I claim that yes, it is natural but natural is not to be confused with normal or acceptable. Even though they accepted that they still told me to gtfo.

One of them texted me just there with 'Are fake tits natural?'

I replied 'Yes'

Whenever you overextend a definition to the point where it is encompasses too much to be usefully applied to distinction then you've normally used language poorly.

Yeah I suppose it's a little pedantic, but I still feel there should be some other term to describe 'man made'.

It's still an interesting point though, and one I'm sure many of us have considered before. What is this concept we have of natural? It has a lot of implications, as you alluded to in terms of sexuality (some think that being gay is wrong because it is "unnatural"), biological / genetic modification, and of course environmentalism and ecological issues.

That was really good, I'll need to give it another watch to really grasp his ideas. Really thought provoking point at the end where he suggests people should move more towards artificiality, I don't think I agree, but tbh I'm still trying to get my head around it

on the twitter thing - trying to build up a profile there as might get a bit more media attention when eventually start work, but its really tough to think of things to say! Started keeping notes on phone before internet-less life began that could eventually be tweeted as want to build up a critical mass (maybe around 400 tweets by end of August), but the phone notes consist of things like 'too many bugs during summer'.

Quality > Quantity anyway you'd be better off getting a head start with a strong Google + profile for the new job.
