That was magnificent.
Thankfully, Barca did not show their negative traits and kept the diving, cheating and playacting to a minimum. We only saw everything that is good about that group of players. Messi shining when it really matters once again, Xavi and Iniesta brilliant. Villa terrific. Superb gesture towards Abidal also, really classy from Puyol.
Fergusons body language was quite telling towards the end and at full-time I thought. I doubt he has ever seen one of his teams so comprehensively crushed. Man Utd are a great side by todays standards. This Barcelona team however compare with the all-time greats. Perhaps only the Milan side of the late 80s/early 90s surpasses this team.
What i'm most thankful for is we got an open, enjoyable and entertaining game of football that I delighted in watching and we saw nothing like the debacle of the Madrid/Barca games which would have been terrible for the game in general.Comment

emmet, education is one thing, but its always recoverable from. I went to college because i dreaded the thought of repeats after 5 years of hell in secondary. I dropped out in second year of college after spending my first year with a girl I thought was the one, only to end up with no friends and rock bottom. I worked a shit job for 3 years, moved on to a slightly better shit job, met the best bunch of mates a guy could hope for, met a girl, bought a house, then blew it with said girl. right now, If i give up i sink, but I'm floating, I've a shit load of experience that seems to stand to me a bit, I've my home, i've supportive mates, and i've been doing other stuff to sort my head out. life is a game, when shit like this happens, I always stand back and look at it from the outside and laugh, its a constant case of what shit can it throw at you next. think of it as running below EV. Scrap, and don't let it get to you, and you can't lose. debt is debt, everyone has it, and it means F all really, its just a case of telling some people to F off each month. There's always another way.
I'm scrapping a 3 day week at the moment, and arguing every week with other underpaid poor bastards doing the dirty work on the phone for the big companies. LOL at bank of ireland telling me it will affect my credit rating, I just told them they'd a shit credit rating too.
You find a new way of achieving what you want to achieve, or you move and start from scratch. you can't repeat, so what, instead of a 1 year diversion, you go back to the start and have a 3 year diversion, or you find something else. Its just a speedbump, and its easily beatable.
meh, drunk, but TLDR, shit happens, and what you do after is what defines you. Give it hell, Life tries to be hard, but its an easy fuckin game.Comment
