To be honest I think the whole energy drink, green tea, detox stuff is garbage. All that Lucozade sport 'research' is very sketchy. I'd doubt it out performs a simple solution of water and sugar when it comes to sport endurance.

There hasn't been any study into the benefits of Lucozade since 1995,I think, unless there has only they weren't so positive and the marketers swept the findings under the carpet.

Southern politics are rife with corruption. It’s been that way for a long, long time. (I grew up in the South, so I’m allowed to generalize. Y’all.)

When I was a child, I thought whenever an Alabama Governor left office, he was automatically sent to jail. I even met a Governor once towards the end of his term and pitied him. I just knew he’d be in jail soon.

The latest down there is that David Barber, the appointed head of the state Task Force on Illegal Gambling, won a jackpot gambling in Mississippi. So while he’s fighting gambling in Alabama, trying to keep it illegal, he’s popping over the border for some quick cash. The Dothan Eagle reports:

“On a recent visit to Mississippi, I visited a legal casino and won a $2,300 prize playing a legal game,” Barber wrote in his resignation letter to Gov. Bob Riley. “While my actions were in full compliance with the law, I am convinced that the forces that operate illegal casinos in Alabama will focus on my actions as part of their continuing effort to smear you and your Task Force.”

And it turns out he was actually followed there by a P.I. hired by the Victoryland Casino. Which is just sad. (The name “Victoryland,” that is.) I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting, but I picture it looking a lot like the roadhouse from Porky’s.

To top it all off, Governor Riley (who totally does not want gambling in Alabama, in case you weren’t clear on that) allegedly received millions of dollars in campaign cash from the “Mississippi Indians” who run the casinos there. Chief Doubles-Down-With-Eleven apparently hoped Riley would keep gambling out of Alabama so gazillions of wampum beads would flow into Mississippi as Alabamians cross the border to gamble.

Guess who else was involved? (No, not Hitler, but you’re close.) HuffPo “reports”:

According to a 2002 US Senate Indian Affairs Committee report, disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff boasted the Choctaw tribe spent $13 million to elect Riley in 2002. The report states Abramoff told William Worfel, the former Vice Chairman of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, that Mississippi Choctaw Chief Phillip Martin spent the money to protect the Choctaw’s gaming enterprise …

The report further notes, convicted lobbyist Michael Scanlon, Bob Riley’s former congressional press secretary, received $4.5 million over two years to protect the Choctaw’s gaming interests through the scheme known as “Operation Orange.”

So the man who made the task force may be just as big a hypocrite as the man who ran the task force. And a possible GOP gubernatorial candidate this year has accused Riley of trying to silence his exposure of the campaign finance scandal.

The saint in all this may just be Barber’s replacement, Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson Jr., who has openly admitted to gambling and losing 20 years ago. Glad he got that out of his system. Now he just has to worry about the NAACP complaining that he protected an underling who was nabbed for child porn while running the county’s Child Advocacy Center.

Facts on Lucozade Sport

Lucozade sport does make you go "33% longer" FACT its been proven and if it wasnt true it would be classified as false advertising and banned.

However

its important to take into account the situations in which this is the case.

The lucozade study was undertaken by getting 2 groups of athletes to Fast for 12 hours and then run to exhaustion.

group A was given lucozade sport
Group B was given flavoured water.

the 2 groups were then asked to run again on a treadmill until exhaustion.

Group A was able to last 33% longer - mainly due to the high glucose content of lucozade.

so if you can find a sport / activity that requires you to fast for 12 hours and then deplete whatever energy you have in the tank before having to refuel - drink lucozade

Seem unlikely to me that people will go home and not read whats been published in the media about the case. Especially nowdays with the interweb and whatnot.

So should they be kept away from tv/radio/newspapers for the duration of a trial? kinda a hard thing to do - as for not bein in a hotel 2nite - missing out of the dinner and the 2 free drinks, but for certain cases i.e this one - there is near zero chance that someone is going to get at a juror, so its an extra expense.

But i'd say for a high profile murder case that they would be put up.

Your asking how much would it cost for a company to design a website for you? If you are it will be pretty expensive tbh, they dont come cheap, even for small businesses. Expect to pay 600e + for anything decent - although my figures may be way off.(My friends work as web designers and all there designing for companies come back with this figure)

I'd probably design it myself. At least starting off,
but also lol if you think 600 euro is expensive, a decent amount of hours are put in and compared to other overheads, 600 is pretty cheap.

If your simply asking about hosting and a domain, a .com domain will cost around 10 euros a year from a cheap provider, and depending on hosting size, it may come to around 30 euros a year, however usually providers, provide both as a package which overall works out cheaper

I think i'd be going for .ie, would rather a .com but the .com version is likely taken and I rather it was kept simple.

For the website and hosting for 3 years for here, we paid ~$155 with hostgator. Pretty reasonable I thought. There may be a $15 charge per year as well for the domain name but not sure.

Edit: Obv this would not include any design fees.

Thats reasonable imo. I imagine that for a commercial site (which mine will be) it would be repaid pretty quickly.

you could do it with filters, settings>filters, then only emails that meet certain criteria (from/to/contains set words etc) will be forwarded. Might help.

Just hosting initially, i'll manage the rest myself. It it gets to the stage where my time is spent better other wise that i'll pay extra for the works.

It's amazing the amount of sites that look really complex are pretty simple templates.
A well known poker sites customer service dept is built around a joomla template.

I suppose it would be dependent to the person, there really are some quality laptops around, i bought a Macbook Pro a few months back and when im thinking about a new desktop im gonna go with an iMac.

Im sure there is some website out there that could tell you a million and one reasons why they are better, but in my experience they are just phenomenal, the build quality is top notch, the os (very difficult to get viruses) itself is way above a microsoft os, everything just works no fcuking about with drivers for this that and everything, little tricky to get use to after using PC's for so long but when you get the hang of it i doubt you would go back, they look cool as fcuk (backlit keyboard/the touchpad is awesome), the usability is excellent the battery life is huge, i think i will end it at this before it turns into tldr

The battery life on them is about 7/8 hours which is huge, there is so many little things about it that just make it such a cool laptop.

Pricewise yeah they can get expensive, i was lucky enough that i bought mine in Vegas and it cost me about €350 less than if i bought it here

Yeah. I got to say I can't imagine myself using that in public. It looks really odd and uncomfortable. I think long term, it's trying to start a whole new category and it might work but it will need a lot of added features. It can't even multi-task ffs.
