Does anyone play on Betfair much? Was taking a weeks break from Pokerstars and had a few quid in my Betfair account. The sats seem pretty soft and managed to get a $108, $200 and a $215 Step 4 ticket. Not 100% whats the best way to use them so if any regulars know the best tournies, let's know

Nah it's a 3D disc and you get the 3D glasses so same difference. There's a normal bluray supplied if you want to watch it without the 3D glasses. I gave it a 2 minute preview and the 3D is cracking but not sure if after 90 minutes i'll be thinking the same!

I didn't know you could watch a 3d bluray on a non 3d telly. You learn something new everyday.
IMO Senior Counsels and Barristers are by far the best lawyers in the country, however, IMO the whole profession needs to be completely reformed.
I'd actually be interested in your thoughts on why we need a seperate profession of Solicitors and Barristers and not just have one all encompassing "Lawyer" profession.
When people ask me to explain the difference between solicitors and barristers I use the analogy of a GP and a consultant.
You go to see your solicitor as a port of first call for pretty much everything. They can and do help you with an awful lot of the basic things that you'll encounter most often in your life such as wills, buying and selling property, drawing up some basic contracts and simple employment and landlord/tenant disputes. They'll occasionally even help you with much more complex things without needing to resort to specialists.
However, when you come to them with a particularly tricky item or even a simple item that needs a specialist such as getting a judgment for a debt owed (think tonsilitis in terms of relative simplicity, i.e the process isn't simple at all but on the grand scale of litigation it is near the bottom) then you go to a barrister. Barristers, increasingly, are highly specialised litigators and advocates who often, and especially as they progress at the Bar, will have an incredibly detailed knowledge of a particular area of law. For me this area is developing into company law, as well as personal and corporate insolvency.
Solicitors have access to all barristers. Any solicitor can call any barrister and have them act in a case. The barrister can only refuse if they are unable to take the case. Quite often a lot of the work barristers do goes unpaid, particularly in their first few years, primarily due to the case not succeeding or the proceedings simply fading away as settlement is agreed before the barrister really does much of anything anyway.
By having an independent and highly specialised group of legal professionals whose first duty is not to their client but rather to the Court it assists judges as the word of a barrister in Court is never questioned. Judges rely on barristers to inform them of the most recent law in an area and to guide them on matters knowing full well that the barrister will never mislead them.
Costs are actually kept down by having the profession separated. A country solicitor who does 90% probate and conveyancing knows that he can handle a personal injuries case because he can contact a barrister who is expert in the area and can guide him in that matter. He doesn't have to turn down work and the client doesn't have to go to a larger firm with a PI specialist to have his case heard. If firms had to have professional departments as in the United States legal costs would, arguably, reflect that jurisdiction. Anyone who thinks US legal costs are lower than Irish ones is kidding themselves.
Keeping one section of the profession general and the other specialist it keeps costs down as the highly specialised sector, which charges more admittedly but certainly not always, for their very highly specialised work is only used when necessary and the lower cost solicitor is the most regularly utilised legal professional.
Therefore having a separated profession keeps costs down, provides a better and more efficient service for the client and allows everyone equal access to the very best legal minds in the country.

Tournaments soft, software sucks tho. $200 Sundays at 5 $200k gteed is good, mostly played rebuys other than that.
Hmm i thought you had to have a 3d tv to watch 3d movies as well.
It probably won't have a patch on the cinema, but i tried it on the laptop on the TV and it's 3D alright. The darker the room, the better the quality. It's the blue/red glasses (always though 3D glasses were green/red). If you have a 3D TV you wouldn't need the glasses, but myself and MrsF are going to be sitting here like a couple of tools but we'll give a go. Update in a couple of hours time

3d tvs enable you to see the new type of 3d. you can see the old type (red and green) on any screen, hence why he could see it on his laptop. you still need glasses though
we're a while off no glasses 3D tvs yet. the ds works by tracking your head movement and altering the perspective shown on screen.
3d tvs use "real3D" a modern method of sending an alternating frame to each eye to achieve perspective. the glasses used determine which frame you see.
red/green or red/blue glasses have been around for years, they add a red and blue shadow to either side of a main subject, to allow each eye see the image in a mock 3d. this is what The flushdraws have, its been available for years , and has been used more commonly recently with 3d cartoons when they have been released to bluray. technology is not nearly as good as REAL3D

I tried it there and the MKV files on it are all pixelated didn't look too great compared to Rock Player which plays them perfect.
