In Kerry North, Deenihan and Ferris are nailed on for 2 of the 3 seats. The last seat though is interesting.

Spring (Dick's nephew) is 1/7
McEllistrim (FF sitting TD) is 2/1

Now McE is your typical local candidate. You'll never hear him on the tv or see him in the dail making some important speech but if you want the pothole sorted, etc he is your man. All politics is local... He is basically the Jackie Healy Rae of Kerry North. If anyone could get away from the FF backlash he could be your man. 2/1 is a decent price imo or better still, lay Spring at 1/7.

Of course this is just my opinion and I haven't lived there in a while, so don't go blowing your Cowen cash on it.

My local knowledge suggests similar stuff.

McEllistrim is from Ballymacelligott which is (I think) the biggest/second biggest parish in the country. The people are extremely tribal and I find it really hard to see him losing much of their support.

Nope. Was supposed to have a week off and thought I could contribute by doing one but then got 2 monster pieces of work dropped on me and couldn't finish it. By the time I had 10 minutes to actually do it I thought too much time had passed and I just left it die.

Still peeved I didn't finish it. Probably why I'm eager to do this, I want to be sure to give something back in here and contribute something other than pedantry and the occasional self-righteous rant.

I'd been reading that log for a long time for light entertainment. It was so obvious he didn't have a clue about nba and nfl but was apparently betting hundreds on each play. He'd put up reasoning that he'd rob off a US forum. I can't believe the amount of people who believed him tbh.

His very first bet was edited from 100 to 10 because it lost. Also, he "placed" a max 100 bet on Ronaldo 5/1 ATS in a paddy power shop that was the only one that had this special. Mellor politely questioned some of his bets and he got very defensive.

It's pretty sad really. I hope the young chap gets some help as I've no doubt he's addicted to gambling. All the warning signs are there.
