When Barca/Real get knocked out early, its because they don't rate the cup.
When they get to the final its because the other teams aren't trying!!!
So they can't really win.

I think in general the vast majority of teams put out a strong squad and try to win the cup and its treated as important with 35000+ attendances for midweek games not unusual. Though Almeira (Barcas semi opponents) did seem to make a strange decision to give up at the last 4 stage.

Tbh I can't really see why the lack of competitiveness in LL bothers anyone other than the very slim minority who'd watch a few games a week. All I want is a bit of weekend evening football porn with Xavi and co and the odd charged Champions League match between the big European clubs and I couldn't give a shite that Celta Vigo or Deportivo aren't up to scratch anymore.

If you're looking for competition, go watch the Bundesliga or something. There's no way in hell any league could have the unreal quality of the current Madrid and Barca squads and remain competitive.

Whatever about him as a person or his annoying Bat-voice, Bale is one hell of an actor. Great variety in his films and performances, he was superb in The Fighter. Marky Mark is always pretty much the same, and that's not a bad thing

Ive no problem with people watching "football porn" but it bores me at this stage, I like to watch proper passing football *(hence wanting Rafa out of the pool for years)
Drooled all over the Spanish team as much as the next man at the world cup

but when the result is known before the match it just doesn't appeal to me anymore (if thats alright with you)

I keep meaning to watch Barca but 3-0 up in 30 mins and ...meh!
(I will be watching their European cup games though)

Don't watch Arsenal/United games where they are going to hammer a team with 10 behind the ball either
