LOL just got caught out bigtime.
I'm sitting in the lobby resturant of a downtown Nairobi hotel getting some bandwith and waiting to meet someone. There is a ridiculously loud JewYorker blaring into his phone, he's wearing a 10Cm lapel badge with the logo of something called Verve Energy Drink.
So while he's abusing people on the phone about how his people are losing focus and blah blah I google the product and hit the link verveenergydrink.com/
Just as I do the guy I'm waiting for walks by and I get up to call him back. I'm two steps from my laptop when the page loads ... with the sound on full blast
I was reminded of this song

Because of the connection with this guy

The good news out of all that is that I see HBO are making a second series of How to Make it in America.Last edited by Strewelpeter; 02-02-11, 15:22.Turning millions into thousands

There has to be some marvellous value hidden in the constituencies as the prices are all over the shop. e.g. Ming The Merciless is considered fourth most likely and marginally odds-on to get a seat in Roscommon/Leitrim, ahead of 'serious' candidates from SF, Lab and FF.
Pity the overround is so big, must be close to 140% a seat.

Mick Barry (SP - CNC) is the only one I'd be interested in backing at the odds on offer. Bacik would be worth a punt at her previous odds but PP have tightened her up. You'd want serious inside knowledge (e.g. detailed constituency polls or, even better, the knowledge that the leading candidate had been found in bed with a donkey and two Filipino midget ladyboys. )
Any candidates jumping out at you as being 'value'? No 1/3 shots now!"We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

We did mpt in undergrad, but lot of the class have no background in finance. Lot of pure math students, so it's a filler inner for them I think. We're in with final year BAFS and msc finance students too.
I feel sorry for the guy, you think theyd start him off with some first year classes to get into a rhythm? He didn't know how to use any of the av stuff, and we haven't finished two chapters and this is our fourth week with a 3hour lecture!

Postal votes are fairly restricted. They are more for people in government jobs working abroad, like soldiers, embassy staff, etc.
If you think about it, it would be fairly messy to let anyone who wants a postal vote to have one. any fucker who is too lazy to go to a polling station would all of a sudden be going on hols and want a postal vote.
Also, there is a reason that most elections are on days that students won't be able to get home to vote

Everyone should listen to latest episode of the absolutely awesome radio show/podcast Radiolab and in particular the last half hour featuring the story of Emilie. I sat on the back of the bus leaving Bangkok trying to keep the tears at bay (and it wasn't just tears of joy at leaving Bangkok)
It's a staggeringly well told, well produced emotional roller-coaster of a story. It's well worth half hour of your time.

In Kerry North, Deenihan and Ferris are nailed on for 2 of the 3 seats. The last seat though is interesting.
Spring (Dick's nephew) is 1/7
McEllistrim (FF sitting TD) is 2/1
Now McE is your typical local candidate. You'll never hear him on the tv or see him in the dail making some important speech but if you want the pothole sorted, etc he is your man. All politics is local... He is basically the Jackie Healy Rae of Kerry North. If anyone could get away from the FF backlash he could be your man. 2/1 is a decent price imo or better still, lay Spring at 1/7.
Of course this is just my opinion and I haven't lived there in a while, so don't go blowing your Cowen cash on it.

Could this be the same thing Vodafone have done with me, my line is pretty shit, I get charged for a 3Mb line even though my speeds never go really go over 1.5. Could I ask them to put me back on one of these legacy products and get rid of the add-on allowance I have or is that just available with Eircom??
You can buy an additional 30gb allowance for a tenner I think.People say I should be more humble I hope they understand, they don't listen when you mumble

McEllistrim is from Ballymacelligott which is (I think) the biggest/second biggest parish in the country. The people are extremely tribal and I find it really hard to see him losing much of their support.
People I've talked to at home have pretty much said he'll walk it - my auld fella reckons he'll get in on the first count.

Am I A £35m Striker?
I scored 24 goals helping my side win promotion back to the Premier League aged just 22.
In my first season in the top flight I had 15 goals by the end of Jan. Including a goal against the reigning champions, away at Arsenal and in a home win vs Liverpool.
My form earned me an England call-up and debut in a friendly....
