I really hope to get to see them play as it's the greatest soccer I've ever seen on a consistant basis . The speed, skill, tenacity, of the team are astounding at times. With Messi in the team it's like the Harlem Globerotters , pure entertainment, often making top class opponents look foolish. Perfect Sunday for me, hangover, Golf punting, Barca and a few pints o plain. I'm a United fan but this season quite often they've been abysmal to watch. A team that plays Gibson, a floundering Fletcher , Evans, O'Shea etc. really aren't in the entertainment business. Midfield will need sorting this summer. The 5 point lead is good to have though, awarded by the ineptitude of the rest. Chelski had to move, Ab either had to spend or jump ship, looks like he settled on the former. Torres is a scary signing I'm afraid. Only him and Fabregas would get into that Barca team when playing well. Rooney and Berba be more suited to Madrid.
God help Arsenal in the CL next week. Should be good to watch anyway.

If you go to Chelsea you will go deep in every competition aswell.
They are a better side at the moment but not a level above, both sides can compete for everything.
IF Madrid get it right net year and win La Liga and Barca win nothing, Chelsea win the league... does that make Chelsea a level above? No but by your logic it would.
Barca are a better side in nearly every way but Chelsea and United could beat them and win their domestic titles and the CL, so imo they are on the same level.

Chelsea have never won the CL (and are miles behind domestically this year)

The history talk does nothing for me.
So what if some clubs have won more competitions than others, most of us weren't alive and supporting our chosen clubs since 1896 anyhow.

Over a season there is no chance either team would compete at the moment. I don't actually think Barca's front 6 could be improved. Ronaldo is obviously better than Pedro but he wouldn't have the same understanding with his teammates.
Cesc would be a sub until Xavi retires/goes into decline.
Their only weakness is a lack of squad depth. If two of Xavi, Iniesta and Messi were injured they'd have a problem. Depressingly though, they have yet another generation of freakishly talented youngsters coming through the ranks.

Bit of a feud between the old and new wings of FF maybe?
Councillor Mary Fitzpatrick, arch enemy of Bertie and the Drumcondra Mafia elected to the front bench by Michael Martin as Housing spokesperson despite not being a TD (standing in this election though).
Meanwhile Bertie acolyte Cyprian Brady had his crew out first thing this morning sticking up his posters in Fitzpatricks heartland of Cabra.

Don't mind Messi, we are well equipped to deal with him. He has been in A.Cole's pocket twice and Bosingwa's (playing out of position) once. People won't agree with me but Chelsea on form are the best side around to take on Barca, we have let them off the hook so many times over the years too. They have only owned us once in last ten years.
They would beat us this season but things will be different next year.

3 shoe-ins in that constituency and an almighty battle for the 4th seat.
It would need FF to abandon Cyprian and put their weight behind her though.

Dublin C (4 seats)
2007 result
FF 44.5% 2 seats – Bertie Ahern, Cyprian Brady
FG 9.5%
LP 12.6% 1 seat – Joe Costello
GP 5.8%
SF 9.2%
OTH 18.5% 1 seat Tony Gregory
Local developments:
Bertie Ahern is no longer Taoiseach and not expected to run. Tony Gregory died, and Maureen O’Sullivan won the by-election by a comfortable margin. FF at war.
Likely candidates:
FF Brady, Mary FitzPatrick
FG Paschal Donoghue
LP Costello, Aine Clancy
SF Mary-Lou McDonald
OTH Maureen O’Sullivan, Cieran Perry, Christy Burke
Projection based on poll
FF 5.7%
FG 15.1% 1 seat
LP 33.5% 1 seats
GP 1.3%
SF 13.2%
OTH 31.2% 2 seats
FF collapse, and while it’s possible that they could out-perform this if FitzPatrick plays the maverick card, it’s hard to see them do so to the extent that they hold a seat. On these figures, Donoghue’s dream finally comes true. The other FF seat is taken by and Indo (possibly Perry who haas a very strong base in Cabra and comes from the same republican/left gene poll that MLMcD is hoping will vote SF. Clancy misses out by a very small margin, largely as a result of poor vote management (I’m anticipating she gets no more than 33% of LP vote, but needs closer to 38% or so)."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

Drew against Everton away in cup, not worst result ever. Tonight will show if we are getting back to winning ways.
Just made 2 cracking signings, possible switch to 4-4-2 now which will finally create rotation and competition which is exactly what we need.

- FF to lose out entirely in DLR and Boyd-Barrett to make it
- SP to have 3 seats
- Greens to have 0 seats
- Labour to have 50 - this is good news for our bet, I'll let you out for 40!
- Coughlan to lose her seat

Obertan wants out?
Gabriel Obertan has stunned Manchester United by handing in a transfer request.
Obertan, a £3million signing from Bordeaux 18 months ago, is said to doubt whether he can make the grade at Old Trafford.
The France Under 21 winger wants to return home in the summer halfway through his four-year contract.
Obertan, 21, has made 14 appearances for Sir Alex Ferguson's side this season, scoring his first competitive goal in the Champions League tie away to Bursaspor in November.
But after playing in the 4-0 Carling Cup defeat at West Ham later that month, he was substituted at West Bromwich on New Year's Day and again struggled to impress in Saturday's FA Cup win at Southampton.
United have allowed midfielder Cameron Stewart to turn his loan to Hull into a permanent deal, but blocked a similar move for Corry Evans who is also on loan at the KC Stadium.
United's FA Cup opponents Crawley Town made a deadline-day signing of their own. They captured 26-year-old goalscoring midfielder Willie Gibson from Dunfermline for an undisclosed fee.

Its not unusual for there to be less than 50 multiple transferred votes in it for the final seat.
