The glassware interaction clearly set the tone for the night. I imagine it’s a good glass, and I don’t know exactly what the reaction was. But it seems one you took it as a sneer in the quality rather than the type of glass. As an extreme example, Reidel make stemed beer glasses. Good quality, but not right. Reidels tend to be emphasised versions of classic red/white glasses. Obviously in somebody’s place, a normal person glass uses what ever glass is available. Her reaction definitely suggests an undercurrent of lunacy. But if she correct if anyway I imagine that overtop reaction is her standard play.

Of the wildlife we have I noticed over the years that it has declined when visiting home, as a country bumpkin. Doesn't seem to be as much butterflies, rabbits, hares, badgers, foxes etc.

Minks are introduced species see them quite regularly when fishing in Galway. More foxes in Dublin I’d say than anywhere else well fed ones as well. Plenty of rabbits. Hard too see badgers unless killed on the road. I have a video of two young otters I got early this year playing in the canal in Ashtown they are normally very shy

Paper tigers I'd say, plus a well administered comp scheme would stop this. Its awesome seeing bigger wildlife rocking around, and I think it should be encouraged.

Canada has a different outlook with regards to wildlife I find. Perhaps because its just so big. I often see Moose or Elk pottering around south of the city.

Ended up in hospital a few weeks ago due to various problems. Left there with a script for about five different pills. Went to see my doc and that involved a few more pills. Had to then see a psychologist who piled on more pills.

It's making me feel fantastic to be honest, but my god the amount of pills I'm taking.

I must say though that the French are just amazing at treating you well when you are unwell. Like it's just pure compassion.

Found it very hard to handle mixture of breakup (working on that), work stress, and drinking too much. The more observant of you might have noticed this creeping up over the summer.

A good friend of mine has just been through 6 weeks of an in patient programme to help him deal with very similar issues resulting from quite different circumstances.
He's come out and gone back to work in good shape and on a minimal set of pills, ready to try and deal with some difficult shit.
