Considering the panic of Russian bots on social media influencing the last election I think you might be underestimating the power of her social media presence too.

On the vegetarian/vegan point, do those who don’t eat meat place value on the animal experiencing life to some degree prior to their slaughter? In an instance where the animal lived a completely natural life (insert gif of a lamb frolicking in a field), and the slaughter was immediate, pain free and effectively unknown to the animal, does the position change at all? In a completely vegetarian world, the same animal may never have been born in the first instance.
I appreciate this is an unachievable position given global meat consumption, but curious to know your thoughts nonetheless.

I think what Raoul misses about the swing states and middle america is that by definition their position changes.
I know the culture has become so polarised that the word socialism contains a toxicity that will kill any campaign using it but that might not prevent this generation of young mainly female democrats reframing their position around delivery of a European type social democratic model without actually using the S word.Turning millions into thousands

And what flies in one does not fly in the other. America is becoming more different from Europe btw so I'm not sure about your convergence theory."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

I'm reading AC Graylings The Meaning of Things, small 2-3 page pieces on different virtues, I thought this was so apt on the virtue of "Nationalism" published in 2001
The nationalist persuades us that the existence of other groups and cultures somehow puts these things at risk, and that the only way to protect them is to see ourselves as members of a distinct collective, defined by ethnicity, geography, or sameness of language or religion, and to build a wall around ourselves to keep out ‘foreigners’.

_____
Nearly a hundred years in the sense that you are nearly 70 years old
A rich patrician who taxed and invested more in infrastructure than the current crop of democrats would dream of, and his call it what you like but definitely not socialist program of tax and spend carried on right up until Nixon.
Eventually those who did best from not having to pay any tax got to put a senile actor into the role of president to sell a meme to the American people that taxing the rich was the same thing as accepting totalitarian communism, and fair play to him he sold it and they (and braindead libertarians all over the world) bought it hook line and sinkerTurning millions into thousands

Sanders fan to not voting, Sanders fan to voting anti-trump, Sanders fan to actively supporting a Clinton would be my breakdown with a guess at not enough actively supporting her.
A new study found that about 12 percent of Sanders voters from the primary supported Trump in the general election.
Another useful comparison is to 2008, when the question was whether Clinton supporters would vote for Barack Obama or John McCain (R-Ariz.) Based on data from the 2008 Cooperative Campaign Analysis Project, a YouGov survey that also interviewed respondents multiple times during the campaign, 24 percent of people who supported Clinton in the primary as of March 2008 then reported voting for McCain in the general election.Last edited by DeadParrot; 13-02-19, 13:46.People say I should be more humble I hope they understand, they don't listen when you mumble

Free Solo is very good. 'Man On Wire' type of stuff. It's about a guy who climbs rock faces without a harness and his journey to climb one of the most difficult places in the world which no one has ever done before without a safety rope.
An interesting part in it is when they do a brain MRI they discover that the part of the brain responsible for fear response is almost completely dormant in him. I guess that answers the question is there something wrong with these people.

Are businesses getting a kickback from mobile operators for having 0818 and 1890 numbers instead of just an ordinary landline number that is included in peoples mobile calls bundle?
25 minutes left hanging on an 0818 number trying to spend money with a bunch of cunce listening to how valuable my call was to them... not fucking valuable enough to let me spend money with you, you fucking pricks.
It was only as it went on that it occurred to me that maybe this isn't a free phone, obv I hung up once I realised it was costing me as an out of bundle number on three

After I deposited I either realised I didn't want the offer, or the price that I was after changed or something - I can't remember. Anyway, I decided to just withdraw the 20 quid again.
It went about two weeks before I noticed they hadn't processed the withdrawal and then I found they had locked my account as well. I got no email from them or anything like that. I got onto their live chat and the guy told me he had authorised my withdrawal as I was chatting to him.
Obviously the money never turned up. I'm onto live chat again today and they are telling me they locked my account because I didn't verify my details (20 quid deposit and two weeks - sounds a bit jumpy?), and moreover even if I confirm my details they won't give me back my money unless I turn it over. 'We're not a bank' the cheeky fucker tells me
Surely I'm entitled to deposit, miss the price and withdraw? Your man tells me it's in their T&Cs that I can't but I see no mention of such a term. What's my play here?
