...England have been shocking in this match so far... They've had a couple of penalties, but went for points instead of touch... Winning by a few points is pointless without the Bonus... I think that's the championship over at this stage...

Feels a bit weird for Ireland to be champions without having stretched themselves since the last ten minutes against France or having playing particularly well for the whole of any of the games.
You'd almost think that if they don't win in Twickenham it would feel like a disappointing season

Not winning a Grand Slam will feel shit regardless. But at least we’re in with a shout and learning to deal with the pressure etc. There will be a huge English backlash next week. But that’s what will make it exciting!

I disagree with this for two reasons.

1. The tactic of playing it to our strengths, winning and evolving over time is better than a revolution and losing for a period.

2. The exciting high skills players coming through are a year away from being fully ready. Letting Carbery, Larmour, stockdale, ringrose loose in Oz is mouthwatering and that’s still over a year out from the RWC.

ah this building for the RWC is difficult for a small playing pool like Ireland imo. England, France and New Zealand have the player depth to have the luxury of choice, and to be able to change playing direction and style, but we need a lot of things to go right for every campaign we enter but 3 championships in 5 years is just phenomenal stuff.

Hopefully we'll be at another level come the RWC but there are so many variables...

Agree with you about the masters. How is he at 12s thats crazy, the Tiger hype train is in full flow. Ive laid him For the masters and will continue to do so while he shortens. God forbid he wins or ill be eating plain rice for a long time.

Equal parts flour and butter, 1Tbsp of flour is around 25g.

Personally...i would buy a premade chowder, buy some salmon and white fish, poach them in milk in an oven, add them to the ready made stuff with a carton of cream.

In other TV show news - gave the first episode of A.P. Bio a go and was highly entertained. The ratings for the show are weak-ish though so maybe it falls back in quality after first episode. Has a familiar face in it that suggests the humour style.

That's how I'd make a roux usually. But in the linked recipe they were using bacon fat instead of butter. Then adding stock rather than milk.

The milk goes in after the stock, fish and potatoes. It's not used in the roux.
This might not be the best 4am recipe.

Everything is progressing really well so far. Was let out of the hospital last Wednesday and am staying with one of my sisters for a week. The cocktail of drugs is going down fine, and I can take the lot in one go at breakfast.

They took the veins from my leg. They were planning on taking one from my left arm as well but they decided on the table that they weren't good enough. Pretty sure I fractured my left arm in a bike crash in Nov 2016, though I didn't seek medical attention for it at the time as I'd prefer the pain to wearing a cast for 6 weeks.

Yeah the chest pain one keeps on surprising. Hurt myself yesterday closing the door of a clothes dryer. Never would have imagined it required such force.
