Seems to be strong forces within the party against it. If it doesn't pass it will almost certainly mean another election, the vanquish of Merkel and a move by the CDU further to the right similar to the Austrian result. If there does turn out to be a coalition, the AfD will be the main opposition party for Germany.

Churchill rallied his troops well. The troops though deserve the plaudits . A steadfast refusal to give in was hardly greatness . It was desperation and Hitler trying to kill too many birds with the one stone helped the allies more than the big heart and tactical nous.

He may be significant, he may have made witty comments, he may helped win WWII for the right side, but he also needs to be at the top of any list of most horrible leaders.
