I'd definitely have no problem eating lab-grown meat, as long as it tasted similar to the regular stuff and we could be sure that any health implications are at the least at the same level of those you get from eating 'real' meat.

Like many people, I don't know the exact specifics of how 'nice animal in a field' goes through a mysterious process to end up 'tasty meal on my kitchen table' and try not to think about it much; but if we can get the same organic compounds in a manner that lessens cruelty, distress, etc... of any sentient being, why not take advantage of the practical application of such technological wizardry?

In 3 years the price of a lab grown burger has gone from $325,000 to $11.36. Mass production would have quite a good effect on cost, it's already far cheaper than a real burger to make, just they have massive subsidies on their side for now. Lab grown meat will be a lower trophic level than real meat realistically, so it will be cheaper. I'd say the real work to be done is on texture moreso than price, which will naturally fall over time. I'd expect products like mince to appear first, before moving on to loftier goals. In vitro or 3D printing a steak and so on. Eventually people probably will be able to print their own. Star trek here we come.
