      I have to say the girlfriend dialing into a VR reality which is his actual house, showing up in real land on a screen which he can then show her around the VR and they then take a selfie one in real land and the other in VR land (which is also his real house) is all kinds of head melting

        Season 2 Episodes 6 & 7 of Narcos have really kicked it up a couple of notches. Superb stuff.

            Interesting read. Thanks. I do a cool down and stretching routine after every run, training session, game etc etc. This is an extreme case with me. That's a good article though.

                ...Was introduced to the girl my sister uses as a babysitter...After reading so many stories here about how hot they should be (Hitch), I was genuinely expecting at the very least a nice blonde Floridian That has a bit of sex appeal...
                ...Made the mistake of forgetting its America, so a 22 year old that is very disappointing to say the least... Sitting in getting drunk tonight while she baby sits doesnt sound as appealing now ...

                          Practically speaking, that could prove difficult in Northern Ireland. The 310-mile border with the Republic of Ireland is poorly marked and often crosses existing farms and properties. Plus, there are tons of small country roads and byways throughout the region. Do they all get checkpoints?
                          I've always thought about the border up the north being more notional than physical one.
                          Sure it's easy to set up a barriered checkpoint on the N roads (N1/A1, N2, N3 etc). But imagine all the little country roads that cross it.

                          Like here, the only thing that gives away the international excursion is the prices on the petrol station sign.

                          I'm sure there's more obscure crossings that Google hasn't streetviewed .That's just one I picked at random.

                            Went up to the shop there and tried to do lotto, can't do it until 7am... what bullshit!

                            Came back and washed my mouth out with soap to see how bad all the threats in earlier life were. It was not at all bad.

                            A sober life is not for Doug.

                                            Squeezed middle means both people earn under 70k basic salary right. I was just told that the term is for single income families earning under 70k including bonus and pension contributions. That cant be the middle in Dublin right?

The webinar was on fraud and problem gambling. I should have proceeded with caution once I seen it was sponsored by a company. It basically turned in to a sales pitch. The two slides below were the highlights of the lack of knowledge.

What UBI would do is take that 30% and spread it thinner {unless you can find huge swathes of cuts / cost reductions from UBI elsewhere}

                                                                                      I think that 'rich stealing from the poor' becomes the narrative terribly, terribly easy there.

                                                                                      The 'State Admin' costs, even if wholly erased by UBI doesn't come near being a figure big enough to warrant talking about there.

The scheme will provide a rebate of income tax paid over the previous four tax years up to a maximum of 5% the purchase price of a new home up to a value of €400,000, to first-time buyers of new houses. Pro rata rates will apply to lower priced houses and a full rebate calculated on €400,000 will also apply to houses in excess of €400,000 and up to €600,000. No rebate will be paid on house purchases in excess of €600,000.
