Went to the pub to watch that, well went to meet a lad who is mad into Chelski (not CHD). Most enjoyable game tbf despite the silliness (Fabregas rolling around after having his hand grazed). Did get moved on from our cosy corner by some trad musicians, probably fair.

It will be tough right enough. It's the selling of all the furniture and things that is a killer. Lol on the 100 a month amazing value here for property to rent or buy. The house would be over 2k a month in Dublin to rent with its size for sure.

GOT season 6 episode 2 awesome but also Penny Dreadful back with season 3 episode 1 looking good for some crazy stuff. Mr Robot season 2 starting in June as well. TV series really have taken over from the movies imho

Slick voice recognition, using them as a credit/debit card as standard and roll up construction are on the way I feel as well as wi fi charging and face to face calling as the norm.

I just wish I could make it happen now for the $$$$

That exists now, my bank rolled it out a while ago. I haven't tried it out.

I can also take cash out of an ATM using my phone when I don't have my card on me.

Reading a book on innovation at the moment and thinking about a few things like that. Hard to see how it can be improved. But the fact we used wap rather than html 10 years ago suggests how much things can change. I guess apps will become a lot less common? They seem bizarre even now.
Remote control for everything imaginable as the internet of things goes mainstream. Was reading an article recently - there are toilets being designed today that will analyse your, ahem, 'waste' and tell you if you have cancer warning signs. Dice probably has one.

Your phone will be the interface into such future delights.

Its really fucking simple; you have no right to use the word in any context no more than Adams has. OK.
If you think that is a ridiculous position then fuck off and argue it with someone who has been on the pointy end of people who can't really tell whether its being used ironically, comically or with malice when its thrown in their faces.

Question about Betfair. Is the betting profit and loss section an account of money that should have been paid out? Strange situation that I have a profit on a market display in there that I never received the money for. Markets been settled etc. Also had a situation in the same market where despite being green on both outcomes when I bet on one of the outcomes my profit on that market diminished and the money was taken out of my account.

There they have a variety of 'service charges' most of which are diverted away from staff and into the till.

In London, you should always refuse to pay the 'optional service charge' on the bill - just give the wait staff cash direct instead.

I like the idea of a bar code reader near the rubbish bin, as , say a carton of milk, is being recycled, it is scanned and added to a shopping list.

Just received an email from a recruiter saying he had left a voicemail, had some jobs in my area and he is working to a strict time limit on these jobs.

5 seconds later phone rings, same guy (must be to leave the voicemail as I don't have any from him)

Straight into a pressure question which he stutters with:

                                                          "I see your cv.......................on reid..........why...................."

                                                          Why is anyone on there?

immediately he is looking for an out

So told him I want a job in recruitment

                                                          Really looking for an out

Told him if I stay in pubs I want xyz

At this point he sounds like a gay guy trying to dump his girlfriend in as nice a way as possible

Replied to the email asking if it was him I just spoke to, he replies saying it was just a point of contact email for future reference

Guess there was no voicemail or strict timeline after all

I remember clearly seeing the first segment they did explaining how cellular phones would work. In a few minutes I understood the principals and crucially that it could scale to mass usage. It must have been the best part of ten years before it happened but I was never happy until I became one of the first Motorola brick wankers

It was such a great programme and a huge brand I can't figure out why BBC are not still producing it.

Not very sure what you got out of the whole thing tho since now whatever jobs the guy does have on the books you won't get to hear about. He will make 50 identical pitch calls today to filter down to probably 10'people to meet and send for interview.

you only really need one session in a pool (or this can be done at sea also) to learn the basics. After that you are perfectly capable of exploring shallow reefs. Once you've done a number of basic dives and have passed your padi, you can go deeper and for longer.
