Just wanderin, im not off to anywhere thats the problem. I watch Michael Palin and similar travelogues and marvel at the adventures but when it comes to it i find it hard to pull the trigger and go somewhere especially where they dont speak english. I find enough problems where they do speak english.

PCs are much better value, but you pick the parts yourself.
can also buy the epic apple monitors for cheap from asia. Their OS is good though!
You pay a huge premium for it. Their laptops are nice aesthetically too

I was hmming and hawing for ages over a new laptop and then work decided to buy me the new XPS 13. Its a beautiful laptop - Just about edge to edge display and runs wonderfully (so far... its a Dell though). Had some issues with the track pad previously but updated the driver and its fine now.

Battery life is awesome.

Must admit to HATING Windows 8 but I am only hearing good things about Windows 10 so will be upgrading when I get my copy.

Really enjoyed it. It opens Saturday. I caught a preview showing so that has to be taken into account. Lead actor is a bit wooden but the cast and production generally are fantastic bar a guy who is supposed to be from Cork but has the crispest German accent you can imagine.

Some lovely touches throughout, if you're going I HIGHLY recommend going in early. As for seating if you or anyone with you is over 5'10" then the extra few quid is worth it. The Olympia is the most uncomfortable theatre in Ireland for tall people so keep that in mind.

Really liked a lot of the choices they made stylistically and it works really well for me. Would recommend.

According to your height to discomfort Olympia findings , I am indeed a tall man. I never knew this until I stood for the our father at a funeral recently and could see over most of the flakey shiny heads in front of me. I wrote a song for my little one back in October, back when I hadn't a clue wtf was going on, or how to deal with this new magical situation I was in.
She was balling crying one evening and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, trying everything to calm her but failing.
She was so upset, yet I was bursting with happiness.
I was singing to her, I always do, random stuff, but I came out with what sounded like a good lyric so I built a bit of a song around it. Just got around to recording it the other day. Lemme know what you think.

the opening hook is catchy, it conveys the love, helplessness and the frustration a new father feels trying to placate a crying infant.

You have a near perfect rhyming couplet to open up the song.

The standing duck goes "Wak wak wak, wak wak WAK wak... wakwakwakWAK". Then all the other ducks went mental quacking and flying all over the place.

Maybe it's perception bias, but I find taxi drivers to be some of the biggest pricks on Irish roads. No consideration for other road users, poor understanding of the rules of the road (or just don't care), don't bother with indicators, no idea how to use roundabouts, etc, etc, etc.

Hope you're ok? When that happened to my ex we got his insurance and police involved, got her a new bike anyway but the main thing is you sometimes don't know how hurt you or your bike is for a while and may think everything is fine.

The adrenalin is slipping away now and its all fairly sore especially my thumb which is double jointed but no longer flexible like when I was a kid and must have got pushed back, I know from experience it will be sore for weeks now. The rest is just grazing and bruises and then there will be the general bodyshock that comes after a big burst of adrenalin drains away

The bike is a bit off straight between the handlebars and the front wheel, hopefully I can get it to the shop tonight to have them look at it. I'm signed up for a triathlon on the 26th and need to get a decent few miles on the road between here and there.

I was flagging a taxi after a night out a few months ago. Dude was cruising along at 50/60 kmph and saw me late. He slammed the break and stopped in the middle of the road. A dude driving a new Volvo misses him by inches and he is then rear ended by the car behind him. I hopped in half in shock and said something along the lines of 'jesus christ that was insane'. The taxi driver hadn't even noticed the crash 10 feet behind him and when a told him what happened he proceeded to lecture me on the importance of observation. He surmised by saying that there were an awful lot of inconsiderate drivers out there.

A ghillie friend of mine had a yank out trout fishing and told him that Lough Erne trout were good fighters. A while later yank's rod bends gently into a fish and as he started to reel it the rod buckled over. Guy was doing the wow, man, wow dialogue as he attempted to bring it in.
