Going to be a decent sweat over the next 22 days to see who everyone signs. Stoke signing Bojan shows they're capable of bringing in some big names so that's another reason I hesitant to include them. Spurs have been pretty quiet too that's why I'm nervous about them. You definitely have the advantage in that aspect with Southampton, they've money in the bank so could well have a few good additions between now and September.

Newcastle fell apart last season and still only finished one point behind Stoke, it's a close one but I tend to agree, Pardew factor..
On the Spurs v Merseyside, I think Everton overperformed last season but Liverpool should be too strong. Definitely wont be a scoop for either of us anyway imo.

Yeah, I think Liverpool have to be favourites vs Spurs, but it's a high variance one. A lot can go wrong with Liverpool with the Champions League commitments plus Suarez probably being mentioned every two minutes and 'second season syndrome' to a certain degree. Whereas Spurs have a great manager and £100m worth of players that didn't perform last year.

Martinez is a really smart manager so I'm happy to be rooting for him, it'll still be a tough job to finish above Spurs.

Newcastle-Stoke is a close one, I don't particularly rate either manager. Newcastle are the bigger club and have historically finished higher which I guess is why I opted for them. If they get off to a bad start, that could be catastrophic, or Pardew might get sacked which could work out well I guess. On that note, I noticed Pardew is 12/1 to be first manager to leave his post. Two years into an eight year contract, it's still probably too expensive to sack him?

Advice please, currently weigh 17.5 stones, I eat exactly zero veg, just bad food, takeaways a lot ect, drink probably 25/30 cans of coke per week, do little or no exercise besides walking to and from work (1/2 mile). Likely to die soon I'd imagine.

What's a feasible amount of weight to lose up to Christmas for me, considering I won't be eating any veg at all. I'm looking at making a bet with a pal.

If you aren't willing to sort out your diet then you need to train really hard fairly often. People will say you can't out-train a bad diet, but you can to a certain extent when your starting point is really low.

If you aren't willing to exercise then you need to sort out your diet.

If you start improving your diet a little and adding in a little bit of exercise you will make a little progress for a while but it's going to be slow and steady.

I can't see anything wrong with the decision. They fielded a suspended player. It's clearly stated this is against the rules, very little they can do other than kick them out. It obviously suits them better to have the bigger draw into the next round but it does seem the correct decision based on the rules as outlined before the tournament that all teams have access to.

Which is mad considering the first game could have been any score rendering the 3-0 forfeit academic.
