The great thing about the result here on a macro level is that it might make it clear to the parties that there is a massive appetite for liberalisation of our social laws which they can translate into votes. When people feel they have the opportunity to vote on something that actually makes a difference they have come out in their droves.

When it's a case of voting for one centre left, catholicism rapt crowd over another not so much.
