Today has brought an almost 3 month argument with the cunts in UPC to a conclusion, a conclusion that I am happy with.
They over billed me in Dec last year and would not issue the credit required. I in turn refused to pay the bill so they four bet me with a late payment fee. I also refused to pay this so they issued another late payment fee.
Today I was on the phone to them for the umpteenth time for over an hour in which their incompetent fucktards couldn't even read from their system how much they actually billed me. After still not getting any joy with a 'floor level manager' I decided to drive to their head office in Clontarf and sort it that way
Waited around there for about 30 minutes and eventually got somebody on the phone in reception (nobody would come out of their comfy office to talk to me) and eventually got the full refund of €125.30 (which included the late payment fees) after rejecting their initial offers of €25.25 and €88.75
The actual monetary amount is completely insignificant but it boils my blood to even think of allowing them away with so much as a cent
TLDR - I am a stubborn cunt

I was the same with both my girls. I couldn't even look at meat on the TV and did online shopping as the smell of meat in supermarket made me heave.
Get some quinoa as well as thats a good protein source.
Throw the quinoa pops into yogurt or google some recipes.

Hitch n Hots, you are both right.

I'd say a key thing here is organisation.
Its one of the golden rules of productivity that when you have a load of projects on the go at the same time you have to have a good recording habit.
Even if you have 20 projects at once, you can't have your mind trying to solve all 20 projects at once.
Good use of Google Calendar reminders to allocate time, and each reminder including good detail on the various projects, frees up your mind to work on the project that is most immediate. You have the comfort while resolving a current project, that any issues around other projects are all recorded somewhere, and any new info can be quickly added to the reminder notes.
Also being a bit ruthless with projects. If you have too many things on the go: which of them can be cut / dumped? Which of them are you doing to benefit others rather than yourself? Begone with them if possible, even if it causes a bit of inconvenience to others.
Have really explained that well, as only got a few hours sleep last night, but its a combination of the Getting Things Done principle (recording, reminding) and The Pledge principle (prioritise plans that matter to your future)
It's not a great existence to be fair.
You are hotspur are both right though.

Frankly, I have little doubt hitch would make me far more productive.
No reflection on hitch though, I'd be worried I'd pass through the point of being pleased with my productivity into feeling miserable and being overly focused on it. Perhaps not though, it'd be pretty lazy to not try it for a period to find out.
I've no doubt hotspur would help me feel happier, more centered, focused on what is important. Perhaps productivity follows from that, perhaps not, perhaps it doesn't need to. That said, bills need paying.
Perhaps I'll write a book that manages to find and blend the balance of hitches ruthlessly scheduled productivity and constant go-getting and hotpurs zen like teachings.
I think I'll try and get this stupid assignment done and then maybe read a chapter of the Yalom book I read a while ago, the one I keep picking up and putting in different places in my apartment.

I don't think it's as simple for you to just be productive or happy. You need a bit of both, working on both from the ground up. How can one be truly happy if they feel their life is not being productive? How can one be productive in a healthy way if they are not happy? Hotspurs' advice was a good start imo. There is always a "why" somebody feels bad or isn't productive, even if they don't know it. Reflection and just sitting thinking are things people don't do enough of, or even talking to somebody else seriously about it to drag it out of ourselves.

First experience with this was when myself and my aussie buds met a group of sorority girls during spring break in Cancun March 2013. They would pop pills for fun, for study, for hangovers... We couldn't not get involved. Blurry enough few days. Americans man. Weird bunch.
Nine months later, same aussie lads and we found a solid* pharmacist* on Koh Phangnan who sold us adderall pretty much every day for a week during the Jan full moon last year. He tried to sell us the 'slow releasing' type one of the days... eagle eye mick noticed the pills were different and we duly returned asking for the good stuff.
It's great craic as a recreational drug. Makes you full of beans. We over did it though. The day after full moon I went to mushroom mountain and had two shakes and two pills... lasted about an hour before I retreated to the safety of my room, gollum like, stuck in the headphones switching between Radiohead, Sigur Ros and the Drive soundtrack. This may or may not be an original thought of my own.
All efforts were made to make this thought original but with the abundance of thoughts in the world the originality of this thought cannot be guaranteed.
The author is not liable for any issue arising from the platitudinous nature of this post.
