In Barcelona last year it was crazy, he was playing a 1 table sit & go and you couldn't ask him for photos etc and if you did you might get your press privileges revoked, same thing with Nadal at Prague last year. No eye contact is weird he's not like Mariah Carey or something I doubt that is true. Yeah I only want it to be able to look at CCTV from mobile phones so Mocata's soultion seems good. UPC have said to get in touch with the business department tomorrow and they will try work something out.

Atlantis itself looks the business but I've been in a few of the rooms and they aren't great but look fine and some folk have mentioned that they feel dated, I'm sure that might be dependant on what part you stay in, I'm staying in their place (well I think they own it) called the Comfort Suites which is like 2 minute walk away and it's pretty nice plus you get access to all the stuff in Atlantis but it's slightly cheaper to stay there.

Resort is crazy expensive to eat & drink add on a mandatory 15% gratuity plus 7.5% sales tax onto the bill total, I've only ever been off the island once and that was to go into town to buy some clothes last year so no real experience of hitting downtown for a different vibe/feel.

People seem really nice & friendly and if you're here just to relax and take in the sun & spend some time on the beach it's pretty fucking incredible, the private beaches look the business.

They keep trying to get me onto Horizon but I think I'll stick with the seperate TV/Wifi from what people are saying as its fine as is.

Definitely. After 3 days of the 'integrated' Horizon box, they sent me a separate Cisco box for the broadband because of all the issues. Then I had channel conflicts between the two boxes. Weaker signal than the original Technicolor modem meant I had to buy powerline adapters to extend broadband to my home office at the back of the house. Simply put, stay away from it. #rantover

Can understand your frustration but UPC broadband have been killing it for years and I recommend it to anybody that is looking to change, now I don't use the Horizon box for broadband as I have a separate box in my room for the hardline. Did get the email the other day about the price increase obviously not great to see but it's not the worst.

I've been using the UPC phone app to ring back home from the Bahamas, think it's a great service and will come in handy for me when travelling.

CHD - Hospital Trip Report please.

Also - Febregas currently got 14 assists whilst his nearest challenger has 8. Decent chance you get a bag of chips out of this.

Hmm. Was getting a weird thumping in my temples and bad headaches that slowly got worse. Could hear and feel the thumping in my ears. After 3 days I couldn't hack it anymore. Couldn't stay still, pacing around, vision turned to slow motion, dizzy and blacking out. Flew into Vincents and they brought me in pretty quick and took blood (fucked up one arm but hey there is always the other one, which she fucked up too. Black and blue arms for 2 weeks). Did an ECG, gave me solpadeine and sent me back out to sit around. Paced around for 2 hours then a doc saw me and decided to admit me. CT scan and lumbar puncture ordered for the morning. Set me up on a trolley so I paced around Vincents for the night shitting myself thinking I had meningitis.

Grim place. Alot of people on trolleys. So many people in bits. A good few times an ambulance would come in swiftly followed by family asking for their dead relative, horrible to see just before Xmas. People sneaking drink in and getting caught killed boredom for 30 mins. The place was over capacity when I was there, can't imagine how bad it was when it made the news. They put the lights off and then cleaners come in. They bash around the place and talk as loud as they can. You're getting no sleep in there unless you are a heavy, heavy sleeper. Brain scan came back and was surprisingly clear. An eye, ear and throat type doc came to see me. Performed a few tests that made me feel like I was on a hidden camera show getting the piss taken out of me. He decided I didn't need a lumbar puncture and have severe migraines. Told me it will be very bad for a few days, get paracetamol, go home and ride it out. Was off my nut on a mixture of painkillers they were feeding me and thought grand.

Woke up on Xmas morning and it was bad. Paced around all day wearing cold patches/sunglasses and taking paracetamol every 4 hours until I would collapse asleep. Did this for 3 days and it was slowly getting worse. I have broken many bones, had multiple operations, been hit with a pick axe in the head, none of that compares to the pain of bad migraines. Absolute fucking agony.

Saw an article about medication headaches. Decided to stop taking them and it started to improve. I have always had headaches so I take alot of painkillers. I thought everyone got headaches frequently, turns out its just me and a few others . Went to my GP and she reckons I have tension headaches, my body punishing me for taking too many painkillers, developed anxiety and now have vertigo thrown into the mix too. I have 2 decent days followed by two bad. Its ok during the day but shit at night, the bad days are agony.

So the GP sent me to get more blood tests. My arm is black and blue again.

I am waiting on the results.

We were laid over on the way back from Australia, the great summer of '94 where we won the world cup if you recall correctly.

My Mother, brother and I were in a big static queue for something or other. She tasked me with minding the camera bag (big cameras back then, yky, lens, etc).
We bailed out of the queue and I left it behind (going to blame exhaustion on this one).

I remembered about 5 minutes later and rushed back fo it. There was a big crowd of people cordoned off for about 50 meters all around the bag and serious looking black op clothed guys with machine guns.

I didn't realise what was going on initially and nervously asked one of the serious looking machine gun blokes if he minded if I grab my bag over there in the middle of the terminal.
