I have recently decided to go back gambling on horse racing, so please indulge me while i post my selections for 60 days to see how I go. As you can see from the thread title i will only be selecting races that have a guaranteed fast pace. And to narrow down my selection base more, it will only be in 4yr old + handicap races (flat and jumps).
The logic behind this is - In a truly run race then the highest class horse in the race who has the conditions to suit should win every time
When looking at races with no pace, it can throw up strange results. Sometimes the last furlong turns into a sprint so the horse who may not have the best stamina/ability in a race but the the horse with the fastest speed in a straight line will win. whereas in a truly run race at pace a classier horse's stamina and overall ability will win the battle always.
Starting bank €1000, 100 points €10 a point. I will be backing to win nearly always and sometimes will be dutching up to 5 in a race if i see fit.
Tuesday Selections
Lingfield 5.30 SIGNORA FRASI & ESTEEM LORD 1 point win on each
Ok this is a shit race class wise but all the other horses in this race who like to race with the pace have major negatives bar these two
Huntingdon 6.50 SARAHS GIFT & LAUNDE 1 point win on each
I would be lumping on Sarahs gift if she had only won on right handed tracks however I still think these two can take advantage of the fast pace. Gunship is going to make all the running but he is taking big step up in class today and also carrying an extra 13 lbs so will find it tough to win this from start to finish on a galloping track like huntingdon with a decent sized run in where he will be pegged back.
