Short and sweet review.
Had the steak on a stone in the Poitin Stil last night, it was really enjoyable if a little gimicky.
Great smell in the place because of it, the air warm with steak smoke and seafood. Has the feel of a really good steakhouse but for one issue. You're advised by the waitress on how to eat your stone steak, she told us to cut it into smaller pieces and cook them to your taste (the steak arrives blue) then eat straight away.
A good steakhouse should understand the importance of resting imo, seems a basic enough part of the process.
The layout of the stone and plate thingy it came out on didn't really allow room for it, I had to pile the pieces on the edge of a packed plate, so it wasn't like the waitress didn't know her stuff, she was actually an awesome waitress.
Pretty limited wine list, but it did include a great Malbec.
Having said all that, I'd definitely go back, the steak was outstanding, service was top notch and super friendly, and the smell in the place had me salivating.
