If your ever unsure about anything like this call for a ruling a decent casino should have a floorman whos knows his stuff come down and make a decision so things like this are avoided. Pretty shit though looks like you were screwed by an idiot dealer
edit: had he looked at his hand before he ran off to top up his stack?Last edited by eamonhonda; 19-07-12, 21:23.airport, lol

From what you said, I would be really hoping he was allowed to play the hand. (Guy on tilt etc) Did you complain before he saw his hand or once you lost the hand? It seems unlikely you would complain if you had of won the hand. Just get on with the game IMO, it might have been a bad decision/ruling but it was totally fair.

??? which is it... its a sticky one for sure, seems fair for a player to top up before they play the next hand after they go bust or lost a chunk from their stack, but i think being away from the table for a long extended time their hand should have been dead, i agree if hero wins the hand this post might not exist but it happened and the majority of posters are swaying to the hands dead side..

The hand should have been dead BEFORE the hand took place (before significant action took place), once the two players got all in its basically angle shooting to try and have the hand called dead because of an infringement earlier. The player who was away from the table didn't get an unfair advantage.

the rule is that the hand is dead as soon as you get up from the table, but since noone called for the hand to be killed and the player was allowed to return to the hand and get €600 into the pot it needs to stay live.
Hectorjelly is right, you cant kill the hand because of a discrepancy earlier if you did nothing to prevent it.
would you still be insisting his hand was dead if he had lost the €600, or if he only returned from the cage with €50? The rules are there to protect everyone.
Initially the blame lays with the dealer who is required to find out how much the player is playing before dealing him in or tell him he will need to sit out until he gets funds to buy back in. But as soon as this moment is passed and the players allow the man to return then they are deliberately using the situation for their own gain. in this case it backfired and they are trying to get their own way by complaining.

As you said before it amazing the amount of people who become rules
Nazis once they have lost a hand. Clearly you wouldn't have been calling for the hand to be dead if you won.
What were your hole cards by the way?
