His message went in one ear and out the other. Fast forward to 2005. I drove up to my friends house in Galway one night after work and was sitting on his couch at about 1am after a few beers. I suddenly got the worst pain of any physical pain I've ever experienced in my life. A shooting throbbing pain like a heartbeat from my tooth and shooting into my brain. It lasted for a few hours. I was nearly crying. My friend was freaking - he thought I was having an aneurysm or something. It took nearly a week before I could get it removed. (Fortunately I had VHI and it cost nothing but would have cost 1400 euros iirc). I was on mega painkillers but when the pain would come they could not fully surpress it. The wisdom tooth had grown sideways into the tooth beside it and had reached the nerve the night in Galway. So I had to have that tooth removed also. Every few hours until I got it removed the pain would come and last for a few hours.
TL;DR get that wisdom tooth sorted before you encounter pain that you never want to experience
