A 50k fine is just so stupid. Most people that get done for no insurance cannot afford it. They won't be able to pay a 50k fine and you know what that leads to? Jail and there until the amount is paid off, its set at a certain amount per day.

in australia when you tax the car, they call it registration out there, you automatically get a third party insurance, probably dosn't cover much but it protects the poor sap that you crash into. i think its the same in some european countries as well not too sure about that though. but it is still recomendd that you get your own insurance aswell.

yep the motor insurance beareu, had to avail of it in the mid 80s when I was knocked off my bike in north king street by a robbed car driven by a carload of wimmins from finglas

my bike was a top of the rangle lightweight so when it got mangled I went mad but locas from king st flats told me to stay on the deck. couldnt anyway as my leg was injured, anyway couldnt claim for my bike but could claim for prsonal injury so got 1900 to compenste me, all I wanted was my bike fixed though. da mudder took hlaf it and I bought a new bike with the rest. funny thing is I remember the girls name and some guy in work actually knows her, apparantly a dyke taxi driver now, I'd love to meet her and hit her with a bicycle pump 20 + years later.

I'm only going on heresay but i've 'heard' that it's only really applicable to the serious cases.
If you happen to get your 05 hatchback worth 7k written off by an uninsured driver and there's no injuries you'll be facing an uphill battle to get anything back.

AFAIK in Canada when you buy petrol it includes tax/insurance, everything. Obviously it makes the fuel more expensive than here, but it is fair imo as you pay in proportion to how much you use the roads. Obviously it has its drawbacks too, such as safe drivers in theory subsidize bad drivers etc

Na, when I was managing insurance claims a few years ago I pursued them for damage to a car the company owned and I got it alright (although IIRC, I may have made our insurance company go after them so as to get the claim off our "claims experience" [basically previous claim total for the previous 5 years] so maybe that's why it seemed handy enough). But the claim didn't come off our company policy in the end.

I'd say once you pursue them you'd get it alright. But as with all insurance claims they're not gonna just give you money easily.

The rego (tax) is pretty expensive, but worth it in the long run.
Most people traveling have a junker, that they wouldn't care if they wrote it off, but the rego covers the other guy.
Also, its the car that is covered, not the driver, which is obviously far better too.

Really have lost interest in the wsop, followed it from start to finish many years but not so much last year and not at all this year. I read somwhere that most of the NLHE events are down a whopping 25%+ on entrants.

He is one of a gang of young Irish lads you see at the events around Ireland the last few years. I don't know him myself much, but I know a few of his mates a bit better. Probably somewhere around the 22-25 age mark I'd guess.

It probably is, but I was convinced that 89 or KJ weren't impossible and wasn't gonna pay those off. I've played really badly all day to be fair, although the general improved abilities of my opponents doesn't help that at all. My red line is through the floor for today. :-/

Raising the turn is even more essential, not getting all the money in with that hand was a mistake despite the fact that it saved you money in this instance imo. Don't let the fact you're running bad cloud your judgement in these kind of instances

They more than likely havent improved very much at all. Just keep playing the game that got you there in the first place. People always over adjust when they move up, trying not to get run over and start spewing or playing scared because the money seems a lot more.

This times 100, over compensating when moving up is a classic serial mistake people make. You'll start outleveling yourself and over thinking things in certain spots...Just play your normal game and treat everyone as you would in 50nl unless you notice specific differences in specific people and then adjust but don't assume everyones now playing completely different, the jumps usually aren't that steep and it can lead to you outplaying yourself, it happens everyone when they move up

It hasn't been a great WSOP so far for most of the Irish lads out there already. The English on the other hand are having a great Vegas, something which doesn't surprise me. Any time I've spent in the company of the young English lads I've been impressed by their attitude, commitment and work ethic. They appear to have some of that collective Scandi thing going whereby they can all improve and learn from each other rapidly. A second wave of Irish players hits Vegas in the next couple of weeks and hopefully a few of us will bank.

anyone got any good templates for a cv.

the wife wants me to do a cv for her she is applling for a job in healthcare. and has got quite a few courses done and alot of other experience in her previous line of work prior to starting in healthcare.

any cv i have ever done for her allways looks crap and have lost the last one i done for her. most likely deleted it by accident from my laptop in one of my regular deleting sessions as it gets slower. anyhow i decided to turn to the educated masses on here that should be the dogs bollox at doing cv's seeing as a lot of ye are college grads or students

Still very overpriced apartments IMHO - I feel confident in saying even if they all sell this year, when they re-enter the market for whatever reason (people moving, etc...) in a few years they'll be priced lower again. Buying a standard 2-bed apartment anywhere in Dublin for more than €200k is madness I think, in places like Tallaght they will be down to €100k in a year or two (some are close already!)
