- Lots of people are sceptical about whether the PeachyMer account is operated either at all, or partly by Mer Brit who claims it. Including Jason Young, Bond18, Kevin Saul, Todd Terry etc.

- Other people jumped to her defense and said that without a shadow of a doubt it's 100% her. Including Galfond, charder, daut and others, who have all chatted extensively on skype etc, but none of which have met her IRL.

- PeachyMer was a LHE specialist for quite some time before starting on MTTs. She started immediately in the highest stakes / toughest fields online, and took 2nd for 33k or something in a $200 rebuy in her first ever cash on PokerStars

- Nobody has met her IRL, except supposedly some old school LHE players who nobody knows, and bradL who supposedly used to date Mer.

- There were early claims that daut and mig were involved in the use of the PeachyMer account, claims which they both strongly deny, and in their defense there doesn't appear to be anything to substantiate that gossip. In any event, these two (as well as charder and to a lesser extent Jman) have drawn criticism for being ridiculously naive by claiming 100% confidence in Mer despite mounting inconsistencies in her posts and never having met her.

- Peachy has said several times in this thread that 'Mer Brit' is her real name, her legal name. She's answered the questions in a weird way though, which lead people to ask what her name on her birth certificate was, which she has continually evaded and hasn't answered.

- PokerStars Steve later confirmed that 'Mer Brit' is actually a pseudonym, but still showed unitateral support for her and said they are aware of her real legal name and support her reasons for privacy.

- Peachy said in this thread that she never dated bradL, even though in posts found in other threads she has said they did. She has not responded directly to questions of whether he ghosted her in tourneys ever.

- One area of particular confusement is around her intensely private personal life, and the inconsistency of this coupled with the fact that this is her third "Well" thread and she accepted a position on PokerStars Team Online. She also claims to be soooo busy as her reason for never having played a live tournament (and with no specific plans to ever play one) - despite having loads of time to continually play online and travel around the world doing charity work and what-not.

- She was offered in this thread $25,000 just to *play* the Main Event, as well as offered an all-expenses paid trip to Dominican Republic by Jason Young to play in a tournament there, as well as $5,000 to a charity of her choice. Both of these offers she snap turned down.

- A lot of the gossip has centered around her possibly being an heiress of some kind, or in some important family, and this is the reason for her privacy (so it doesn't affect her family or whatever).

- Somebody looked through her twitter account and cross-referenced the timeline of her life activities that she posts about with her online tournament history from OPR, searching for inconsistencies. A bunch of things were questioned (like her supposedly being in hospital while playing a tourney, supposedly hosting a superbowl party while playing a full schedule, lots of other similar circumstantial things like that) - and while a lot of it is interesting and could certainly use an explanation, none of it is very conclusive.

- Peachy stopped replying to the thread around about the time of these twitter revelations, and daut said it's because PokerStars advised her to stop replying (though we don't know why).

- Then, bradL became a bigger suspect since he's the only one confirmed to have actually met her (so maybe it's actually him) - and people began cross-referencing their OPR histories looking for patterns. There are several particularly dodgy/shady patterns that have emerged that begin to demonstrate a link between the two accounts. Although these OPR figures do not approach the realm of "proof" - they are certainly beyond suspicious and most reasonable people in this thread seem to agree that it's pretty clear some sort of MA'ing or ghosting has occured at least when PeachyMer first started playing MTTs in 2007.

- There is a podcast btw interview with Mer Brit which has caused some controversy because she comes off as pretty clueless about poker, says some dumb things, and generally gave some people the impression that she's just some girl who'd been given a quick rundown before the interview. She wasn't able to identify whether she plays high stakes or mid stakes online, and she said she started playing tourneys in late 2008, where OPR has her starting in 2007. Other people have a different take, but listen for yourself I guess.


Those are the main points I think. Since then it's been a lot of unsubstantiated mess that isn't really going anywhere.

Conclusion: The general consensus here (imo) is that Ghosting/MA'ing is likely to have occured at some point. The data from the OPR comparisons of PeachyMer and bradL leaves many questions, and ghosting etc cannot be disproven. Saying that the data 'supports' this conclusion is probably going too far at this point, but not by much, and there is absolutely much that needs to be answered right now.

PROPERTY OWNERS and auctioneers alike may well choke on their porridge this morning when they see that house prices have dropped even further overnight.

The news comes with the publication of the catalogue of Ireland’s first sale of distressed property to be held by British auctioneer Allsops, which specialises in selling properties held by banks, receivers and homeowners needing to sell quickly.

The cheapest property being put on the block is a two-bedroom tenanted apartment in Portlaoise with a top reserve of €35,000. A similar apartment in the same development, Bridle Walk, is listed for sale elsewhere at €170,000.

In Rathfarnham, a two-bedroom penthouse has a maximum reserve of €145,000 in the Allsops auction. A two-bedroom ground-floor unit in the same scheme is listed on myhome.ie for €275,000.

More than 80 properties in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway will be offered at the auction in the Shelbourne Hotel on April 15th, which is being organised by Dublin estate agent Stephen McCarthy of Space, in alliance with Allsop, one of the largest auction houses in Britain.

Details will be available from both companies’ websites tomorrow morning.

Each property carries a maximum reserve price. However, according to McCarthy, the actual reserve prices may well be less on the day, depending on demand. However, the reserve set nearer or on the day will not exceed the published maximum reserves.

Details of properties seen by The Irish Times show these maximum reserves are well below current asking prices for similar homes.

A detached four-bedroom house on a large site in Churchtown, close to Milltown Golf Course, has a maximum reserve of €400,000 – less than three-bedroom homes are making nearby.

Up in the sticks, we don't have gas to heat the radiators, we use oil. We've always went through oil at an alarming rate but we've been trying to monitor it better over the last while. Beside where the dial for turning the heating on, there's 2 switches where we can heat all radiators, or just heat upstairs and downstairs seperately.

If we leave the switch at downstairs only, it still heats both upstairs and downstairs. If we want it to just heat uptairs, that's what happens.

We've also been lighting a fire more and using the back boiler to heat the rads. It's not strong enough to heat both upstairs and downstairs (or it's not even strong enough to heat downstairs) but when we leave it to heat upstairs, it gives out more heat than when we use the oil.

Is the pump fcked maybe?

Oh, and the boiler is blue btw
