Excel help.
I'm have a bit of trouble with an excel function and was hoping somebody could help.

I have a table of data, column A is a list of dates, and column D is a list of values.
These are plotted on a table. The table also displays the trend line for the data.
Column D is incomplete, and as it is filled out one cell per day, the trend line adjusts.
I want to find to be able to manipulate the equation of the trend line to find the project value on X date, or date of trend will hit Y value, etc.

For the subset of data that is completed, that's easy using FORECAST or a bit of algebra with SLOPE and INTERCEPT. But when I drag the range to include incomplete cells, it returns and N/A.

I basically want the the equations to only calculate based as the data filled in so far. Basically ignore the blacks (which aren't fully blank as they contain formulas)

I dunno, I've always thought MTC is pretty reserved in his analysis and it's other idiots who leap on his ideas and interpret them to the wildest extremes.

Not sure about the budget but Pandemic Legacy (Season 1) is a pure genius of a game. There's a biggish learning process in Alchemists. Pandemic Legacy also has the advantage of being about now as opposed to the fantasy setting of Catan. Takenoko would also show them a bit of the whimsical side to boardgames and it's a great game with very little learning. Pandemic Legacy game 1 is quite straightforward and then gets progressively more devilish. On balance maybe Takenoko for the audience but Pandemic is a better game. The Takenoko artwork is also fantastic. King of Tokyo too for an alternative highly popular Japanese game.

King of Tokyo never did it for us. We played it a good few times when i got it, but after the initial newness associated with it, if we wanted to play a game, it never made the final list .

The guy who introduced me to Catan invented or at least partially invented/designed his own board game.

He called it "Drill It". It's a timber box with a map of Auckland drawn on to it. Basically you're paying to drill for oil.

He designed a box that is filled with a few pieces of timber and the areas are separated by screws. You basically shake the box and the pieces of timber are randomly placed underneath.

There's holes in the board which a pin will fit into. You put the pin into the board, if you hit a piece of timber, you've struck oil. People pay for landing in your area I think.

I cant remember the exact rules but you pay different amounts to drill at various locations throughout Auckland, larger areas more expensive, areas of harbour, some islands etc.

He mentioned there's some variations of games online so I'm not sure how much of it is an original idea.
However, it's quite cool taking out a board game you at least constructed yourself.

Ah this was some messing about on my own stuff. Trying to a chart to track weights and targets for competition.
The extent of excel in my work is listing materials and finishes.

Should be as simple as using an IF statement to ignore blank cells.

If would have been easy if it was just a single cell formula, but I had an array range in there (A1:AXX), and needed AXX to change based on extent of complete cells.
Got around it by IF'ing the column into a hidden column with the blanks as actual blanks. Then Forecast works. Job done

Filling out kid2s school application for September. Another €250 a month bill there to go on top of kid1s when you add up the afterschool care, meals, schoolbooks, etc. Socialist France does nothing for free!

It's a private school chosen as its bilingual, so €80 of that is the cost of the school, but you'd still be paying €170 a month in a public school. The cost falls a lot if you're on lowish income, but anyone on over about €45k a year is paying full whack.

I suspect the dirty secret to the success of France's clearly superior public services is that people actually pay for them.

You pay €250 a month for a private school for each kid or is that for both. Private schools here are ridiculously cheap but we still prefer the Government schools as they won't learn Maltese in private school and if you want to go to Uni, you need Maltese.

Also, do you mean you pay for normal bog standard schools as well? so no free education?

We are lucky that I have the flexibility to work partly at home and partly at the office, so we balance our work lives to cover this and don't need the afterschool club. The little one has just started Maltese lessons and you get 57 hours of lessons for €60 which is brilliant.

Just had her parents day there and she is doing great, especially the Maltese. They did a social studies project to do and they had the choice to do it in English or Maltese. She got a C grade and she chose to do it in Maltese. The teacher was very impressed she attempted it in Maltese.

She has her Maltese exam on Tuesday which was a 5-page exam and she had only 2 mistakes on the whole thing. The teacher can't believe she has only been in Malta less than 2 years and this is her second year in school. She loves languages and it is showing.

What would be an average wage in France for say...

A) Working in a shop
B) Office Work
C) Office Management?

Yeah you pay for a normal bog standard school. Although all the schools are good. But its based on your income, and your not paying for school but for extras like lunch and afterschool care.

French wages are very low, as there's 50% employer charges on every penny paid which naturally depresses what can be paid to the employee.

I'd say:

A) Working in a shop: €18,000
B) Office work: €25,000
C) Office management: €35,000

That's very impressive with the Maltese!!!

We supply our own lunches and afterschool, if you need it is 0.80c an hour which is nothing really.

In Malta, I would say
A) €12-15,000
B) €20-25,000
C) Can be anything

The salaries in iGaming can be staggering. And if you work in a cafe, expect a pittance. My 17year old works work 5.20 an hour or 6.00 on a Sunday and get's double on holidays. But that is great for her as she just turned 17 a few weeks back. She is working in a bakery shop and mostly loves it.

Fairly tragic up to Christmas but have really got their shit together last couple of months under Gattuso. How good they are overall I'm not certain tbh, but things looking brighter than they were.

But they've been playing their weakened side in Europa league some games... Not that arsenal have been going full strength either so it's not to easy to predict lineups. You'd think they'd both see this as their route to CL next season now.

I'd say hold tight for lineups in first leg and if Milan go full strength then bet, if not I'd leave it tbh.
