From my brief reading of that it comes off more more a case of highlighting vocal liberals being in the majority in internal public discourses in Google rather than an overt company policy of repressing white males.

The skipper got on my tits occasionally but he was some man to squeeze a boat into a tight spot in a busy harbour, and had some excellent local knowledge when it came to places to eat etc.

I don't think I got around to a trip report on that one but I think it's my favourite one I have done, which is saying a lot.

I don't think it'll be that bad. Currently it's legally ok to positively discriminate if you are attempting to redress a significant imbalance. I don't see that changing at all (not even Damore himself wants that). Obviously there is a point where it crosses into unfair discrimination against the majority, but there's no real test cases defining where that line is, mostly because nobody's been stupid enough to take the piss about it until now. We're gong to find out.

They actually don't have to offer a choice at all. Generally they do and generally a passive equity option would be one of them but they don't have to.

This wouldn't be a JLT consultant via the ISME/Zurich pension scheme perhaps?

Zurich have passive funds available via Blackrock on their platform. (For example) However, Zurich make more money via their own funds which are all actively managed. Therefore they have an incentive to offer a restricted fund range where 99% of the people don't know any better and the employer isn't very engaged.

My employer offers a DC master trust with passive equity funds (and some active DGFs and blends) and 100% allocation etc but we explicitly charge for access (to the employer) and provide quarterly investment oversight, Trusteeship, audit, Annual report, statements, member counselling etc for the fee.

However, nobody is beating a path to our door as it doesn't provide commission (to pay us) and instead the employer has to explicitly pay for the service and the member gets the benefits through lower management fees and a better product over the long term with no conflicts of interest baked in.

This is the key issue with corporate pensions that the ultimate beneficiary isn't making the decision on the savings vehicle but is instead focused on just making the employer contributions and no more.

Virtually all off the shelf libraries for facial image capture, recognition fail miserably when the subject is non white. The reasons for this are completely down to incompetence in the development and testing environments.

Absolutely not.The quality of supermarkets is alot higher than some people think.
Ask yourself where dose the local butcher get his meat/carcass from if he dont have an abattoir. Same place as the supermarkets. A good butcher will slice and dice infront of customers along with a speach on how good the meat is as hes also a sales man selling his product, you are paying for there time to chat with you effectively along with a friendly service.

The reason for been cheap is like any product supermarkets are selling in bulk thus keeping overheads lower.
