Woke at 7.00am, everyone asleep, nice browse, cuppa and relaxation with no one to bother me... till 9.00am when Aimee and Tony got up. Aimee on her laptop just like her daddy with earphones plugged in. The silence continues!
The TV is STILL off

England are so bad here it's not even funny. Sad thing is I'd probably back them to beat Australia at home.
Happy Christmas all. Finally inflicted my Trivial Pursuit skills on my family yesterday. Obviously victorious although my lack of current pop music and tv soaps nearly cost me dearly."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

Dragged young wans over to Herbert Park for the Goal Mile followed by watching a Leinster v Munster tag rugby match. Had to abandon ship after letting out a shout for Leinster to beat the culchies and the young lad spent the next 5 minutes roaring "Culchies" as loud as he could.
Home now with a fry, betfair & racing on

She got me a bottle of the below for Christmas that I'm gonna savour all to myself on NYE. My all time favourite wine and I can't see how wines that cost stupid money could be better.

I was shit faced last night. Put a pot of mulled wine on at about 9 am and was nipping from that all day. Had a beer then before the starter, wine with that, another beer getting the main ready then horsed the pinot noir out of it.
My wife made a chocolate cake for dessert and asked me to help bring the plates from the kitchen.
I splattered them all over the floor to lots of lols.
Scraped mine up and ate it.
It's ok to be drunk at xmas.
Would make a good song that.I hold silver in tit for tat, and I love you for that

Golfing with the oul lad today.
Went out last night to hit some balls as its been snowed under in Calgary for a bit. I came away knowing I should leave the driver at home today...This may or may not be an original thought of my own.
All efforts were made to make this thought original but with the abundance of thoughts in the world the originality of this thought cannot be guaranteed.

Going to play Portal 2 today and do all the apologies tomorrow. It is a bit selfish and hate being like that, but I'm a barely functioning humanoid due to not being able to handle the hangovers. The opener of Portal 2 is phenomenal. Played two games of Ticket to Ride Europe over the break, one during the evening of Christmas Day and the other yesterday afternoon; such a fun, fun game! Really recommend this to everyone.
The nephew got Pandemic and we also played one game of this on Christmas; not sure we fully understood what we needed to do as we played it on the 'easy' setting and still lost comprehensively - is it just really hard?
I myself got a Nintendo Switch and a few games on the big day, feckin' awesome piece of kit Also got another board game, Catan, which I know is supposed to be very good.

Pandemic can screw you with RNG but in general it's a hard game especially the first time out, if it was easy there would be no replayability. Really need people to work together. There is a great version when you get the hang of this one:
