Roofs are tricky and expensive on GAA stadia Hitch, the playing surface is about 30% bigger than a soccer pitch. And not really needed as ionapual says.
Soccer people will never apply for a tourney using GAA pitches, UEFA wouldn't give it to a load of non-soccer grounds, and the GAA couldn't agree to UEFA exclusivity demands anyway. So a triple lock there.
Rugby World Cup 2023 could happen, our bid is OK and up against flawed opposition. Though Semple has been left out of the venue list as it is unsuitable due to lack of places to stay.

Was just listing out in my head:- Landsdowne Rd
- Croker
- Thomond
- Semple
- Ravenhill
- Casement Park
- Salthill (would go GAA-only in Galway)
- RDS
Do we need more than 8?"We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

Was drowned twice in Croker. First time was a Galway hurling match eons ago (semi-final I'm guessing), must be close to 20 years, a friend and I were standing on the Hill, was a lovely fine morning so wearing t-shirts and we were lashed out of it in the 2nd half.
Second time was in August 2008, a double header of football quarter finals. As above, started off as a gorgeous, warm and sunny day. Was seated in the lower Cusask, down near pitchside. The first match was Armagh-Wexford and I swear people with exposed skin were getting burned it was so nice. Then the main event, Kerry-Galway began and soon afterwards a once-in-a-decade downpour started. You just couldn't sit out in it, was torrential, so thousands of us rushed backwards to stand under the upper deck and peer out at the action. Great open flowing game as well! It rained so much that there was localised flooding all across the city, the Northside was particularly badly affected. We had planned to head out on the town immediately after the matches but needed to head to one of the lads' house for a change of clothes pitstop!
That match is mentioned here: https://www.balls.ie/football/6-wett...h-sport-142257

A curtain rail in my apartment fell off the wall on one side, it was attached by two screws to the wall, the bottom screw snapped and the screw is left in the wall, the top one has come out of the wall and there is too big of a hole for it to stay in. Looking at the fixtures on the right that are the same I can see that they too are pretty loose/dodgy.
How much would it cost to get somebody to fix that? I don't have a screw extractor or drill and need to get gone on holiday soon enough.

So when we moved house we signed up for a broadband package with a three mobile router. Decent service with 250gb allowance per month and 70pm cost with an 18mth contract period. Speed isn't great at ~15mb buts it's grand. This was the only real option.
Now Eir are rolling out fibre optic broadband to my door. A triple play package is 60pm for 18months and 90 thereafter. A bit of a no brainer.
Anyway bottom line is I either off load the mobile broadband package for the remaining 15 months or I start a complaint process alleging poor service to get them to waive the cost of paying for the remainder contact period. Anyone got any ideas/experience of getting off the hook with three?‘IF YOU had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.” Genghis Khan

I myself have fibre but cant get speed above 14mb, despite been offered speed of up to 100mb, its not wrote in the contract having complained. Nothing i can do despite paying the extra money for the package.

It's not a new build but a 12 year old B rated place. I'm currently paying for a new waste disposal system having shelled out money on all sorts so far. No new cat 6 cabling option but the place has a lot of attic access and I have a good space identified for a media cabinet and should be able to make that available in every room around the house that I wish to. Every room is wired for tv as well so I might be able to use that system as well.
Got my oak and maple floors sanded and varnished in a day and a half. The difference it makes is phenomenal. 3.5k for 175sq m of flooring but a lot cheaper than having to get new shit installed!!Last edited by V for Vendetta; 10-07-17, 15:41.‘IF YOU had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.” Genghis Khan

Go to 3 store and buy the PAYG broadband solution - the larger router for 150e into which you can insert the sim card. Then buy an all you can eat mobile sim for 20 per month. Discard the sim that came with the broadband and insert the sim that you bought for phone usage. Viola.
This is it right now which is the very low end of what I get, best I've tested is 24mb down. This level is suitable for everything I need it for.
