pretty much any advice I would give has already been given above. I'm assuming you are looking at a NAS server for media instead of Kodi/cloud solution (just going by your posts) why not the latter?

I don't like kodi. I do have an android device that I do use occasionally though with kodi, and I still intend to have that connected somewhere as well to use when the whim takes me.

Ideally, what I'd like is to be able to download from my laptop to a networked media server somewhere and I can access that from any device in the house connected to the network, whether wired or wireless,including the TV. Not sure that's something I can manage to set up though.

Pretend I'm a total dummy (that'll be sooo difficult) and explain things in baby steps.

Do I need something like this in the centre of my hidden setup?

No, your good. That's the stuff you want. I just meant that don't worry about being high or impaired at work as the part of marijuana that gets you high (THC) is removed.

I image vaping would be the best solution. The raw oil that you got is a bit stronger than the vaping juice they sell. I imagine it would be trivial for you to mix the CBD with some vape juice. 2ml raw oil and 10ml vape juice would match the strength of the stuff they sell.

We've watched our team have 7 consecutive R16 exits from the Champions League. Bar our 2nd place in a joke of a season last year, finished 3rd or 4th in the 10 previous seasons. 2 FA Cup wins and no other finals in 10 years. 2 final defeats in the league cup in 10 years.

As a business, fantastic. They are in the top 5 of the richest clubs in the world. On the pitch, 90% of Arsenal fans aren't happy with the form above in any way shape or form. It's definitely not good enough for a team that should have the ability to compete in all competitions. It's been a ridiculously frustrating decade supporting Arsenal. Very few highs and so many lows. Wenger will only go when he is ready, and that come be at the end of this season. I think our squad is pretty decent this season with some good cover and competition for places (although still lack some strength in depth at the back). It's the same old Arsenal though when we get into spots where there's a small glimpse of light, we go and lose at home to Watford, and scrape a 3-3 draw with Bournemouth.

Spoilt may be a bit strong, but that performance is nothing to sneeze at and a lot of fans from other clubs would love to have that rather than watching their teams in regulation fights etc...

I don't buy into the hands tied in the transfer thing as most people. Yeah, he couldnt spend whatever we wanted, but he still had a decent warchest to go after players. In the past decade (and not including the €15m+ he spent on players like Cazorla, Nasri, Cech, Ox etc that have made an impact on the team), he bought players like these that didn't add a lot, or else haven't settled in yet.

I spent some time just outside Dordogne region, close enough that I used to pop into Castillon for a spot of lunch. Handy spin to Saint Emillion and I also went about 45km south to Sauternes for a morning. I based myself in a little village called Saint Vincent de Pertignas. Decent auld drive off the boat but definitely manageable.

Will break up the drive overnight both ways. Three kids in a car for 800km+ in one day is not a good idea

Not a huge amount to add really as the lads have got it covered.

- Draw out a plan of the house and in each room point out exactly where you want the ports.
- Make sure everything is labelled, tested and signed off afterwards.
- When dropping cables its as easy to drop 4 as 1. Never drop one cable as a general rule. Think of growth and potentially adding more devices to each room down the line.
- Unifi/Ubiquity APs get a +1 from me. Set one up in the CEOs gaff last year and it works really well.
- When getting a cabinet or rack, make sure you have room for expansion.
- Buy a decent UPS to protect your kit in the cabinet/rack.
- For your switch:

* Make sure you leave more than enough ports for extra devices down the line. If you have counted 20 ports used up, buy a 48 port or 2x 24port switches.
* Get a PoE switch so that you can power access points or IoT stuff directly from CAT6.
