SF/IRA screaming for an election anytime someone farts in a closed room. Posturing before policy and the rest of the detritus aren't even shrieking at the same intensity as their populist opportunist brothers in SF/IRA
I'd double dare any of our SF/IRA brethern to come on and explain why they think its better to divert the focus away from the Gardaí at this time. You'd think they of all people would want to see the institutions surrounding our police properly scrutinised.
If they did their job in opposition correctly we might be able to get the root and branch reform that is needed and they may be able to earn some badly needed political credibility.
Can you flesh it out a bit?

btw reading that Amber series you were talking about in the book thread. Its very good.

Screaming hysterically that we need a GE when you refused to even talk about forming a government a few months ago is a distraction from the hugely significant issue at hand.Turning millions into thousands

It's a bizarre situation, TBH I think an election wouldn't be the worst idea as I doubt anyone wanted a set-up like the current one with a zombie Taoiseach, Fianna Fail as some sort of Greek chorus pseudo-government etc.
I take your point on the importance of opposition though, as PSV has been pointing out the only reason anything ever seems to get done is when Claire Daly and/or Mick Wallace get their teeth into something.

John Oliver a shining example of the reasons Trump got elected. He embodies the American left's complete lack of desire to empathise with anyone who disagrees with them.
When he first started out pointing out bizzare things about America, there was a lot of low hanging fruit. At this point he's given up scraping the barrel and is just pandering to his audience."I can’t find anyone who agrees with what I write or think these days, so I guess I must be getting closer to the truth." - Hunter S. Thompson

French presidential hopeful Francois Fillon and his British-born wife Penelope will be indicted for fraud this week http://www.reuters.com/article/us-fr...-idUSKBN15R0ER.
If his party need to chose another candidate the cut of is March 17....they seem in a mess.
FF are ahead FG 11 points in the polls no doubt hugely to do with Tusla Gardaí McCabe scandal. SF have launched a motion of no confidence in the present govt because of said McCabe crisis.

I wouldn't want to be able to empathize with the right in the USA right now.
You have a very naive idea of what it might be like to be a child soldier hitch. http://nytlive.nytimes.com/womeninth...s-of-violence/
Millions of children around the world are recruited to fight in wars. They are called child soldiers. Check out these 10 facts about child soldiers.
Child soldiers are children under the age of 18 who are recruited by armed groups who use children as shields, cooks, suicide bombers, fighters, spies, messengers and/or for sexual purposes
Tainted victory? Are you insane?
She over came internal turmoil and all that shit ...and that is the real victory.
What did you think being a child soldier was like top gun ??
We have just spent the last few pages giving out about our own child protection agency...child protection ...starts with our own minds....and the way we see things.Last edited by Guest; 13-02-17, 14:01.
