I was in my mates house back in 1990 when his brother and his GF got back from a AFKATAFKAP gig.
They were right up the front and after one of the songs Prince threw his tambourine into the crowd, chaos ensued and my mates brother had hold of the tambourine along with about 20 others, he proceeded to bite every hand until they let go and he won it.
Turns out one of the hands belonged to his GF and she was holding her bitten hand crying, Prince saw all of this and called her over to the stage and took off a gold chain with a crucifix on it and put it around her neck.

Genuine first numbers I came up with, didn't tweak it to hit 40. How close was I to the official list?
Also, does our position go up or down when you look at GDP per capitia?
The assumption might be that it goes way down considering we're along side the likes of Pakistan, Chile and Venezuela. But if you think about the likes of Luxembourg, Monaco, San Marino, Liechtenstein, etc, you have to wonder.

What is the average interest payment per employee in Ireland on the national debt for 2016 and what was it in 2007?
I'll post the answer around 10.00.‘IF YOU had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.” Genghis Khan

Will take a few years but Pakistan is next in sight, with the puny 4.5m Irish about the overtake the 200m hard working Pakistanis in terms of overall economy size. Rather stark illustration there of the haves and have-nots in this world.

Current estimate based on:
Debt €200bn at 3% average interest divided by 2m workers. It'll drop dramatically though as we continue to refinance at close to zero. Japan, for e.g., doesn't give a fck about their 200% debt/GDP as it costs them zero to have.
€900 per employee in 2007 and €3,400 per employee in 2016 according to the head of the NTMA. He reckons they'll get the interest roll down further from €7bn+ to a bit less than €6bn. He said the original rates were coming in with an annual interest bill of €10bn or so but obviously refinancing at lower rates with QE has brought it down.
Not close to zero but a significant reduction nonetheless. Still a ways to go to get back to 40 odd percent of GDP however...‘IF YOU had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.” Genghis Khan

Are the ones in my 'definitely bigger' list. That's only 26 though, who did I leave out?
Ones like Portugal\Greece I am kinda assuming we are bigger. Likes of Argentina\Nigeria\Chile I have no idea. New Zealand? Poland?
OPEC countries? Iran? Former Soviet states? Israel I guess. Egypt?Last edited by Raoul Duke III; 22-04-16, 08:56."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

Lets get ready to rumble...
The FG tactic of destroying the Infrastructure budget in 2011 instead of taking the opportunity to take an axe to the civil service setup is starting to cause ructions...
The Civil Public and Services Union has criticised the lower pay rates introduced for new entrants by the government during the recession - and has joined other unions in calling for accelerated restoration of all cuts in pay and conditions.
Perfect storm conditions up ahead...

@Emmett:
Coming home was one of the best things I ever did. Yes there are a ton of fucked up things about Ireland, but there are also a ton of incredibly amazing things about living here. England is just sooooooo booooooring in comparison."I can’t find anyone who agrees with what I write or think these days, so I guess I must be getting closer to the truth." - Hunter S. Thompson

I'd tell her in English to say something to someone and she would say it in French or English depending on who she is talking to. And she says the French in a French accent and the English in an Irish accent. Its like having a rather clever babelfish.
Much more impressive though is he's a physical mimic, and copies movement incredibly well, from sportsmen (rugby place kickers), to dancers (he twerks like nobody's business ), or just how people walk!
basically, he's a sponge! (as they all are really)
