The missus thought she was having a heart attack at 2 this morning bungled her and the kid into the car and off to A n E for the night . Took the kid home to bed . She had a few tests done . No heart attack . I'm having one though. No further comment .

Yep I was having a heart attack myself after this hospital trip. reason ? The blood test revealed baby no.2 confirmed on the way . Apologies to the sensitivities of the SPs of this world who have to watch old men lie on walls outside schools as their kid skips by pretending not to know the decrepit old fart trying to get to his feet to escort the kid home safely. Ah well. i feel blessed with the 1st one so tis great imo.

Looking for some help/advice if anyone has any.

I've been experiencing really strong anxiety and anxiety attacks lately. Particularly at night time.

The night time ones have been happening sporadically over the last few years and I had gotten used to them. The first time it happened I was freaked out until I researched it and realised it was harmless.

That time, I was lying in bed about to go to sleep when just as I was about to drift off I got this jolt in my chest on the left side, then it happened again, and again. I jumped up out of bed and started googling heart attacks.
Don't ever do that.

Figured out the next day that it's fairly common, and is simply anxiety.

Anytime it happened after that I just dealt with it and considered it an inconvenience, nothing more.

I've rationalised that it's an evolved trait, the fight or flight response is over stimulated and the brain is basically keeping you awake as presumably ancestors that fell asleep during times of danger got eaten, those that got dummy heart attacks stayed awake and lived to pass the trait on.

As I said, these episodes have always been sporadic and relatively mild until recently. I think given what happened recently my body is in a constant state of fight or flight.
I'm getting really severe attacks of it almost nightly, and even though I know what it is, I'm still doubting myself while it's happening, thinking I'm having a heart attack, or a stroke. Had a horrible one last Wed night, evey time I started to drift I would get either a strong jolt, like an electric shock to my chest or a dizzy feeling of blood rushing to my head, I thought I was having a stroke, even though I knew I wasn't if that makes sense. Even though you're able to rationalise it in the moment, you still can't help having irrational fear.

Xanax works, but I don't want to be taking anything like that, can't get out of the bed in the morning when I do.

Have had a few daytime attacks too, which seem to be worse, but thankfully not too many.

My mood or general mental state doesn't seem to have any bearing on it, got one this morning for instance on the way home from the Parkrun, I was feeling great at the time.

Looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience and can offer advice, do I just wait it out?

I'd imagine any private clinic would do it for you.

Do you miss coke? Would never try it again, but my god it was the most amazing drug ever when I was doing it. Seems it's more of a young person drug and if you quit while ahead it's a phenomenal experience. Only ever tried it with Rob in Ireland though and doesn't compare even slightly to the brilliance of the Mexican/Colombian version.

Not really,I take a small bit every now and again but it wouldn't bother me too never take it again.
Took a good bit back in the day though. Spent a night with what I assume was a drug mule in Miami years ago.
Said she was a model but while she was hot I don't think she was Venezuelan model hot.
Had a bag in the safe in her room the size of a bag of sugar. Was some stuff.

Just head to A&E Lazare, tell them you have chest pain they will do an ECG and take bloods about 6 hours apart to check if your troponin levels are raised. Troponin is a chemical that will increase if you are having a cardiac event.

I had a panic / anxiety attack about two weeks before my heart attack but just put it down to some family / work stress issues that were going on at the time. It will be one thing that you can stop stressing about if you get it checked at A&E.

Even after getting the stents in recently I was getting a symptom that I had the night I had the heart attack and was really worried about it but I got it checked and it was unrelated which was a great relief.

I know from being off work and on your own for long periods you can sometimes analyse every little twinge you get and google it etc and worry yourself unnecessarily.

I hope you feel better soon and even if it is heart related once diagnosed you will soon be on the road to recovery.

If you are going to rock up to the A n E Conor, don't eat for 12 hours beforehand . The blood analysis needs fasting first to test for a few things. You could even have high iron levels. See a doc though. The clinic swift care near citywest do bloods for 25 euro and ECG for 30. The blood tests results will be quicker than AnE .
the recent bereavement though would floor anyone . Also cease the running until you get diagnosed . GL

Oh, I know people are going to say 'go see a doc', I probably will but I'm fairly sure all that will come of that is a box of xanax, I'm more interested in hearing experiential advice.

Got to a doctor to rule anything physical and then just refuse any prescription and ask him to recommend a therapist. Or else just fire Hotspur a PM for advice on one.

Laz, Cut out or down on weed if you are using it. Doc will tell you to see a counsellor you could save yourself the surgery visit by just picking one from the Irish psychological association website or pm'ing hotspur for a recommendation.

It's a clusterfuck, just a complete and utter incoherent mess.

The first 10 minutes are pretty good, we get the Batman intro and the metropolis intro and they're damn interesting. But everything quickly goes down hill from there.

Biggest problem with the film was direction. Things just start... like literally out of no where, we don't know where any of the characters are... a scene just starts in a room. Where? I don't know... i don't even know how they got there or what time of the day, or week it is because the story jumps around so incomprehensibly. Then a dream sequences happens which doesn't explain anything, but wait! It's a dream inside a dream?

Flash appears... i think, and he explains something to Batman for no real reason, about Lois?(injustice arc mixed with flashpoint) Then, Clarke Kents mam just appears out of nowhere in a field to tell Clark he's good hdear: we aren't introduced to her at any stage either... she just fucking appears. *that bit is real* Then his father is on a mountain putting rocks on a pile of rocks. Then Batman has a dream Superman is a dictator. Then Batman dreams about his mothers Tomb exploding. Shit like this just keeps happening until Batman and Superman eventually decide to have a fight.

There are many things wrong with this film, but the acting isn't one of them. Everyone is pretty decent, Affleck the stand out.

If you had taken out Lex, Doomsday, Wonderwoman, The fucking movie trailers for other WB films (dont get me fucking started on lex's side gig as the JLA graphic designer) and just had an hour and a half of Batman and Superman duking it out it woulda a better film imo.

Also Was Aquaman hiding in the Titanic?

I can only imagine that the way I have been feeling this afternoon was a bit like how the menfolk felt in the days before modern birthing when they sat outside while their partners gave birth. The whole bit waiting for the bubble to burst had me on edge and now I wait anxiously to hear how much has been born into my pocket
