    Poker Media

    Hi all,

Due to professional curiosity, I'm wondering how many of you read poker publications and which ones?

Do you prefer player blogs/Twitch streams/social media to magazines/online magazines?

How often do you read 'official' poker media?

Thanks in advance for any responses

Used to read card player until the local newsagents stopped getting it in, since then online i would use Poker News, follow stories etc from chad halloway and a few others. Follow a few of the player blogs too

Yeah I used to read Card Player too but it just got repetitive. Used to read a few blogs, pokerstars, boyles, paddypower etc but again it just seemed like the same old stories being told in a different way. Most poker stories have been heard already and are now boring to me.

Things I do still read/follow are dokes blog, I like that he shares some life experiences too and doesn't just write about poker but when he does its interesting to me. Will listen to the chip race now it's up and running to support the Irish lads. Follow Danny Maxwell on Twitter to feel like I'm close to the action when he's snapping EPT's and UKIPT's and the like.

Apart from that just keep an eye here for tourneys and stuff.

Fairly similar to Dobby actually. Used to read (either buy or get from random casino) Card Player and Poker Player. Then newsagents dropped them and I was playing less, didn't bother so much.

Used to love reading Tao of Pauly, or those kind of poker related things, so something broader and with more 'colour' than standard blogs/reports.

Always like Doke's blog, he writes well, makes his points in detail and covers a good range of topics. Ditto the firm's podcasts, good quality material, well presented.
