I asked the IPB admins if it was OK that I posted this on the site, and they were good enough to give me the go-ahead.
I work for one of the biggest online gaming companies in the world, the Rational Group, a part of the Amaya Gaming Group, which operates the largest and most popular poker brands in the world, including PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. The available role is in the Group’s services office, in the Copy Department.
We are looking for someone to join our Copy Team as a freelance contractor - for a term of between two and four months. The rate offered for this role will be competitive and the agreed upon daily rate will depend upon experience. We're considering freelancers that are without poker/casino knowledge and experience, but I thought I'd post this here in case IPB has any interested parties that might be suitable.
Candidates with proven copywriting/creative writing experience will be given first consideration, and we're hopefully looking for those who have commercial experience.
The job will be based in the Rational Full Tilt Services office in South Dublin and a desk/PC will be provided.
The successful candidate will be responsible for some of the following:
- Writing marketing and promotion copy for poker and casino products based on specifications and concepts provided by internal stakeholders and the Copy Team Manager
- Generating press releases, customer newsletters and emails, technical copy and in-client messaging
- Editing of existing content
- Liaising with internal teams to deliver copy under tight deadlines
- Proofreading and editing content produced by other copywriters
I'd plan to send interested candidates a short writing test as part of the application process. I guess I have to point out that I'd be the successful candidate's direct manager and that they'd be joining a team of five.
