Drunk at the poker table cool or not cool

Was watching the pca last night on c4 and thought yer man Tesca I think his name was a right laugh being all drunk and off his face
The ept staff were not too happy
I couldn't see why as he wasn't missing blinds or being abusive
And he seemed to know what he was doing so what was the problem.

Anyways one of the floor staff took him aside and said he couldn't have another drink
Yer man though was having none of it
And said 'you've no right to tell me I can't have another drink'
I thought fair play to him he paid his buy in and as long as he's not being abusive or disrupting the game it shouldn't matter if he's pissed or not
At least he was entertaining unlike that personality free zone called Mike McDonald
Just wondering what other posters think about people being drunk at the table
I know I'm regularly drunk at my local game
And I generally get a negative reaction even though I don't abuse the table or miss my blinds or string bet or do anything to disrupt the game
Yet I still get bad looks and snide remarks
Ffs I thought poker was supposed to be fun
Anyways any comments or opinions bout drunk people at the table

Are they generally good company or bad
Do they annoy
Put it this way are members more or less likely to enjoy themselves at the table
If one or two players is pissd drunk

If you're pissed I am sure you think you are entertaining but to players who have just had a moderate amount and trying to enjoy themselves it's annoying.

On the other hand, pissed guys at a cash table are golden.

At a tournament table its horrible but that is what you get for playing tournaments.

You can't have an opinion on someones carry on from an edited show either you weirdo.

I sometimes get a glass of water and pretend it is vodka and just pretend to be drunk just to mess with them all.
I recommend that you do this.

I also recommend that you don't watch channel 4.
You can watch the same episodes online.
Online does not have ads.

Remember playing langered drunk in the local casino years ago, it had just opened and previous I had only played pot limit, so basically every time it came to me I would say 'pot', went on for an hour before this ape took exception to it and started having a go at me trying to explain it's no limit not 'fucking pot limit'

So I replied, 'Hold on pal, you mean I can bet whatever the fuvk I want, really'

Look, a man should never be drunk in public,
It's the law, and it's there for a reason.
The drinkaware slogan, "know the one that's one too many",
That should be taken literally and you shouldn't drink enough to be drunk.
Where that slogan falls down however, is that very few know that drink!
Once you start getting your buzz on, it's very hard to tell, so be careful.
Or you'll end up letting yourself down and getting drunk.
But the reality is, if you don't want to get drunk,
The best course of action is not to drink at all,
And very few want to do that it would seem!
90% of people over 18 drink, so the figures paint a very clear picture.

I'm no angel myself I've been drunk before in the past,
And probably will again in the future.
If your mentally is "I'm going to play tonight and get drunk"-
I personally think you've got to rethink your mentally.
But if it happens to happens,
Drinkers get drunk.
And if you don't want to get drunk, don't drink, because moderation is nigh on impossible!
But that's just my take on it, and what works for me personally.
Maybe some out there would call me a dipsomaniac,
But everyone's different.
I'm sure there are some people who can have one or two drinks and then walk away from it for the night,
I'm not one of these people.
Time has shown that.
So if I start drink at 9pm in a pub, I'm very often getting drunk.
So before I let one drop touch my tongue, I have to ask myself am I prepared to get drunk?
If the answer is no,
I'm ordering a Lucozade.
