have iPhone 5, got a new iPhone 6+ - my contacts are not copying over from one phone to the other - have backed up from the very latest iCloud back up. Presume this is something harmlessly stupid. Also cant get my email working so wondering if it something to do with that?

On the old phone -> Settings -> iCloud
Are Contacts and Mail unchecked? Maybe it's backing up everything else except them?

Beware picking up a refurb Nexus 7 2012 model, just saw it on the link Michelle put up. Mine has not worked properly since the Lollipop update and there is no fix and from talking to a few folk there might not be. Seems the Apple business model is being applied here and forcing people to buy a new product.

The 2013 Nexus 7 is also not going to be supported soon.

On an unrelated note. A presumably drunken attempt to access pornhub without incognito browser has it showing up as the first suggestion when I type 'p' in the browser. Its not actually straightforward to delete afair. Is there a failsafe way to get rid of it without deleting the entire history.

I played versus the AI until level 10 and then jumped into play mode which is against real people I think. was doing well in that until it became very apparent people just had stacked decks so that was no fun. Jumped into ranked and havnt lost yet. Up to level 22 but I assume Im about to get raped soon as my deck is so weak.

on another note, does anyone else browse incognito as a standard now? I think it's just easier to not have any history of what you do on the internet. If there's anything important, just bookmark, and have the few main websites saved as suggestions. Also, it does make it easier and less suspicious if you ever have to completely delete your history because there's so little there to start with.

I wonder if you can. Today's news seems to be driven by increased capital expenditure which arguably was required in the UK. The earlier lot was about prior management's dodgy accounting practices. Both are more or less one off items.

Tesco is still a cash generating behemoth, price to book is now down to 1.09 - or 1.6 to tangible book. There will be some disposals but you would have to think downside from here is limited. Kitchen sinking exercise complete and a nice set of comparables installed for next year perhaps?

Enjoyable in its own way but not even close. Thought it really dropped in quality towards the end. No rewatch value in comparison to the other 2, especially the wire.

Think its even bigger - but along the same lines - its large swathes of the population realising that 'brands' usually means cheap crap supported by marketing rather than quality.

Think a brand used to genuinely mean that something was of a higher quality than something that was unbranded. But the widespread availability of quality controls to even the smallest producer means this is now a redundant feature for the big brands.

Smaller households also leads to a bit of a decline in the likelihood of those 'big family shopping expeditions' that the out-of-town megashops relied on.

There's also the bigger issue that Tesco etc have made shopping so complex. Each shop having thousands of differently worded special offers, 50 different products to choose from for each thing you want to buy. Aldi, by contrast: you just go in and buy your stuff. No special offers, no excess choice. It's hassle free shopping (until you get to the till - they really need to sort out those fcking queues).

Was in lidl the other day making the choice between cien shampoo and head and shoulders. Genuinely what swung me to cien was those Joe Hart head and shoulders ads

I actually talked to him about it a month ago when this first came up as a possibility and was surprised at his lack of dismissal of the idea. He was a general middle office lacky I think so he said his experience wasn't typical. I have another query outstanding with him for location.

Is it in their risk modelling division or regular heartbreaking Citco? The risk modelling division is excellent; kept quite separate to the rest of Citco. Although maybe its a general IT department job, in which case forget the question.

Hard enough to judge it from your perspective: everyone knows fund accounting ranks below sewage inspection and collector of angry disease-ridden rats in terms of career hierarchy, but presumably the IT function is a whole different kettle of fish.

It's an IT BA role, so part of the IT division although delivering stuff for the business. I'm hoping (I mean he is hoping) that it will bypass lots of the usual fund management bs.

Always surprises me that LIDL/ALDI have made shopping such a terrible experience for the customer who wants to buy 8 items and quickly leave. Forcing us to queue behind people with 100s of items is bizarre.

On a 'not a racist but....' note, is it a standard African thing to get one member of the shopping crew (the youngest) into prime position in the queue then go off through the aisles getting your products? Always seems to happen in my local Aldi, young girl with 5 items in front of me, then elder sister pushes through with another 10 items, then the mammy and daddy with 50 items. Annoying, but they have their timing to a tee.

Did Vikings and moved onto Sons of Anarchy now. I really wanted to enjoy it, but found it pretty average starting off and was going to give up on it after 7 episodes. Hung in there, and episodes 8-10 were really good so i'm hoping it kicks on from there and gets a lot better because it has a lot of potential.

Give up on it now gets crazy infuriating and terrible for good portions of it.

You should of gave up while you had the chance, it gets really good for a while now and reels you in and then before you know it you're watching one of the most retarded shows on television. Only 4 episodes left, thank fuck.

The company is doing their 'Christmas jumper day' on Friday, where our office competes with the offices in the Isle of Man, London, Malta, etc... on the quantity and quality of Christmas jumpers worn by employees. I've a real boring one and wore it two years ago, need some ideas for sprucing it up a bit; I know you can get jumpers with lights already built in, but can you get 'jumper lights' on their own anywhere? What else could I do?
