Theres a fella selling Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 for €49, claims it RRP €539, package includes Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher and Lync (what ever this is), he is saying it is 100% genuine Microsoft product, no disk or serial number needed.

Whats the catch? is he just downloading it from a torrent site or what?, sounds too good to be true, he seems to only be a youngfella.

No real trouble understanding tbf as most of time they are facing the audience, it was seldom that they were facing away. TBH that is the real reason why I don't try to go to see plays. But now must reconsider that as really enjoyed the play.

Down in my folks' house and they have Vodafone broadband. My laptop constantly disconnects from the wireless and my iPad and phone still work fine. I also get a pop up every so often saying that there's an IP address conflict - no idea what this means. Anyone any solutions? It's driving me mad.

Definitely wouldn't of been anywhere near 16/1 at any stage after the Open or even half that price. Week leading up to open is only possibility but I'd be skeptical if even then, maybe in a spot ot two. Bookmakers tend to be very cagey at the front of antepost major markets.

So went to the theatre tonight for the 1st time in 20 years to see The Price in the Gate. Was there on a date, and got absolutely hooked... How the fuck have I not been the theatre in so long... What a brilliant play. Already want to see another play... Have to say it was a magical evening, one to savour for a long time

Dublin Theatre Festival tix are on sale to the general public since Tuesday. Also a few foreign language plays with surtitles which might float your boat. Hamlet in the Bord Gais (auf Deutsch) promises to be epic for one. New Tom Murphy in the Olympia. Some Australian stuff too (known as they are for cultural pursuits ). New Hugo Hamilton in the Gate and also good stuff for kids.

No idea what's happening in the Fringe, hotspur is the man for this.

With my brohter starting acting I guess I'll tag along to some of his, saw some students play/musical in the Lir and they were really good. Without a hotspur hotplay list I generally feel lost heh.

Problem with open office is when people want .docx given to them, and powerpoints - tends to end up in a different format on screen, it's very annoying.

Can you give me a quick run down on how squeeze box works, never heard of it tbh, i love my tech and would love a set up like this if it didnt cost too much.

It's a similar type of system to Sonos, just cheaper and more powerful but not as easy to set up.

The way it works is that there's a server on your computer that streams the music from your computer to the players. You can also stream pandora/spotify/radio/various other apps straight from the internet without your computer.

The SB Radio and Boom are standalone players with their own speakers, the other SBs you have to connect to speakers.

You can have each player playing individually or have them sync in any combination.

They've been out of production for a few years though so it may not be worth getting into. That being said the system really appealed to geek types so there's still development going on, and at this stage you don't need the actual logitech players, you can buy something like a raspberry pi or any other small device and run the software on it. I haven't really looked into but there's a bunch of DIY guides for putting them together. There's also usually a few devices knocking around on ebay and the like.

These are the original devices from L-R, Radio, Touch, Duet,Classic, Boom, and the Transporter on the bottom which cost about 2k.

Tablets for a short snooze are a terrible idea, Rasta. Too much can go wrong. You'd be better off trying to meditate if you really had to spend the time resting but couldn't guarantee sleep.

Or you could try sleep banking - make sure you get as many naps and long sleeps in the few days beforehand. You'll be able to handle going without sleep for much longer if you have had lots of sleep in the run up.

I buy Sominex from an american supplier that ships here but that is too late for you. Panadol nights are similar to nytol as well as they contain dyphenhydramine Hydrochloride.

Barajas has 4 terminals so I wouldn't risk it if they were in different ones even though they are all connected by a pretty frequent free shuttle bus. Even if they are in the same one, 45 minutes is cutting it very tight.

How much office functionality do you need?

You get basic(ish) word, excel, and (I think) powerpoint for free through Microsoft OneDrive. Only catch is you are stuck with online only editors.

These all include 99% of the features that 99% of people need. Every so often you might find that there's a button you used in Excel/Word to do something that isn't there, but in the main it covers users perfectly cromulently.
