Only since I went to SuperValu so I blame them.

Sometimes AL into heathrow works our cheaper, only 7 quid in on the tube with your oyster card, which is a fiver but lasts forever.
Thats each way on the tube though, so around 15 quid cheaper through heathrow. This too shall pass.

I have not made 10k in a day since possibly the 25/50 days in 2007 but maybe never.. and I cannot remember actually having 5 figures just resting in my account. In absolute shock but delight and I will not take any bets on when I will blow it all... haha. Just bragging before going to celebrate
Wow, epic stuff! Congrats

With the soccer vs cycling (just using these two sports as an example), I think it's more a case of, if you took the top 20 players/athletes in both sports, and gave 10 performance enhancing drugs and the other 10 didn't take anything, you'd have to assume the impact on the top 20 in cycling would be far greater than it would be in soccer.

Southampton chairman said today that they wouldn't be selling either him or Rodriguez. The club can hardly complain about players looking to desert the sinking ship when they have already sold off half the first team.

Cortese was apparently the guy behind the clubs rise. He was the one doing the day to day running after Liebherr's father died. It seems Cortese/Pochettino vision for the club going forward were different to the owner given their departures and the sales this summer. I don't care how shrewd a couple of buys look like, if the departures continue they will have to replace nearly the entire starting 11. That coupled with bedding in new players and a new manger is going to leave them in huge danger of going down next season.

What a mad few days for us on holiday here in South Devon.
On Sunday evening we decided to meet up with my parents who are here for this week and went for a bite to eat. I fancied this sausage and mash dish, not as basic as it sounds btw. Tony had the same and the young fellow had a hamburger.
I was chatting to the folks and eating. There was a reddish sauce with the dish and I was eating my sausage from the outsides. I happened to look down when I was on the second one and at the middle. The bloody thing was raw. Checked the other one that was untouched and it was the same. After we had all eaten I showed the food to the staff who apologised etc.
I was fine the next day which was surprising, but the young fella was starting to feel sick. He had been out surfing and we thought he had taken in too much salt water. We were out again for dinner that night and he asked for water and lay down just. He normally eats like a horse. He started being sick after that and was sick through the night. He woke my eldest at one point to get her to wake me as he was in pain urinating. I found out in the morning about it and thought it was a UTI that was bothering him.
I was badly bitten by horseflies in North Devon and was to see a GP on the Monday, so I called and booked the pair of us in. Went there early afternoon on Monday and chatted to GP first about him. Got the ole sample done and said he would send to hospital. Looks like a UTI and was going to do a prescription. I mentioned about him saying his tummy was still sore, so he pops him up onto the table and checks him out. After seeing his almost hit the roof when he got his right side pressed the Doctor said he was 75% sure he had appendicitis. We got sent straight to casualty with a letter for the surgical team. Didn't get myself looked at LOL. But my priority was my son.
Had to meet FD and hand him the keys to the apartment and sped off. Got there at 3.30 and was seen about 8pm, was a long day and that was a quick appointment apparently as they were so busy. The Dr checked him and said she thought it was appendicitis as well but wanted her senior to check. We were admitted to the ward and waited till about 10.30 before we got seen again. Since Lewis was hungry they decided to hold back surgery as that was not consistent with appendicitis. The senior Dr said all his other symptoms were textbook though and unless he went downhill during the night they would see about surgery for the next day.
He slept so well (I didn't sleep a wink) and I thought maybe it was just food poisoning after all and that the hamburger was undercooked as well. But when he woke he said he thought he would need them out as he was really sore. Every time a Dr or nurse asked him how he was he said he was fine! He got checked again by the surgical team around 12.00 this afternoon and he was in worse pain. By 2.30 he was in theatre getting his appendix out. There is nothing worse than seeing your child on a gurney going to sleep and feeling so helpless. The huge worry that something will go wrong etc etc. Never was so glad to see the nurse come back so I could go back to recovery to see him.
He was really groggy all evening and was only really sitting up and sipping water by 7.30 and I did a changeover with Tony at 8.30 and came home to the apartment.
What a day, so many worries/emotions today and so glad it is all over. The surgeon said it was very big and was too big to come out the incision they made. They got it though and he was patched up nicely.
Want to use my One Time here that he gets out tomorrow so he can enjoy a little of what is left of our holiday.
He has been so brave, one proud mama here as not once has he complained since he took ill.
anyway, wont bore you any more

The roof for Southampton is always going to be like 5th/6th, and how different is 6th from 15th really?
Originally posted by Jam-Fly View PostOddschecker is down atm, but saw they were 11/2 to go down yesterday. Given they've said they're not selling Rodriguez Schneiderlin, it seems like they're trying to keep some semblance of a team. But yeah I agree, if any team has to replace their whole starting 11, it's hard to see how they can't be relegation candidates. That said, it's hard to disagree with any of the transfer fees they've received for players this summer!

Anyone throw some do's and must see's in the mix?
