One day in class ( our class was separated from the others in a really old convent) we were all bored and I suggested a game of hide and go seek ( wtf like) So off we all went lol . There was a door in the hallway of the class that nobody ever bothered going into for some reason. So I decided I would go in there. There was a big hole in said door where obv a big keyhole lock thing was cut out of and I had to put my hand in to fiddle with it to open it.

Got it open and off I went. It was pitch black and It was full to the ceiling with those really old grey plastic stackable chairs. I pushed my way through them ( size zero obv then) until I could see a flicker of light , when i say flicker I mean flicker, an odd looking light. Like a ray of light.

i was feeling my way around when my hands felt something odd, a box of some sort. I was rooting and feeling away when i heard a jingle. Fuck me it was what felt like money, yep deffo money and PAPER money. full to the hilt!!!! like a treasure , this was 1986 like. I just started grabbing like a maniac while looking at the door and started shoving all the money down my 28 AA bra lol

Nobody came looking for me so off I went with my somewhat heavy jingly load. I said nothing to nobody and went to the jacks. holy fuck I had won the lotto! I had roughly 150 pounds , this is huge money to a young wan in 1986!

anyway school finished and we had to catch the school bus not before I popped in to O dwyers across the way for 20 rothmans yes 20 not 10! I was everyones friend on the walk to the bus stop.

The following morn off into O dwyers again for the same and loads of sweets. Lunch time I sneaked out to The Friar Street Friar for a dozen batter burgers ( they were fucking awesome) wasnt long before I was the most popular girl in the class!

Every monday morning i would go back to this box and miraculously there was always a few bob there. was always a surprise as it could be anything from a fiver to 20 quid. I never told a soul and continued to supply half the school with fags.

Then one day I popped out for a few batter burgers and didnt cross the road and was staring at the wall of the convent when I spotted " St Anthony's Box" please give generously ...............

I continued to fleece that box for 2 yrs and never told a soul until one day it was blocked off.

I will take this moment to thank Anthony for providing me with cigs and batter burgers for many of my horrendous years spent in that hell hole

It annoys me that people who have played football go on about that tackle like it is anything out of the ordinary. No intent and it's just unlucky if it ends in injury. Try playing football without lifting your feet off the ground once when playing the ball. It's impossible. In this particular case he's going to play the ball, Matic nips in ahead of him and then is unlucky enough to get caught in a way that could have seriously fucked up his leg. But it's just an unfortunate coming together. His reaction was enough for a red, and the FA were right to not ban Barnes retrospectively.

Nah completely disagree. Its definitely out of the ordinary. You are taught to keep your foot pointed down. Not open up the studs.

latest episode, is great. Been a while since they did night scene, last epic one I remember for night scene was the night the farm got destroyed in season 2/3. I've always thought people overestimate the opposition to Sepp/FIFA within UEFA - we are exposed to a vocal English media on the subject and the FA obviously hate them over the 2018 snub. But the rest of UEFA, other than occasionally the Dutch have always seemed relatively silent on the subject.
I'm not claiming absolute surety on this or anything, you may well be proven right .

Ultimately imo, a middle east World Cup is fine - we shouldn't have the situation where an area of huge population is excluded from being host because of an insistence that the competition can only be held in July.
And the logical time to have a middle eastern world cup is between November and March.
The southern hemisphere leagues have always been the ones who get disturbed by a July World Cup, they won't have any sympathy for Europe having a mickeyfit about it this time.

Having said that it would be easier to garner support for it if the bidding hadn't involved massive bribery and corruption.

Getting one done through our bank at the moment (the bank contact the EA to set it up, but we pay) - €130. Had a similar one done last year and it was €125 I think, so might depend on the EA. No idea if there is a discount involved if it is being done on the instigation of a bank rather than an individual.
