Downloaded the Stephen Hawking biopic "The theory of Everything". Bit disappointed, you learn little to nothing about him as an extraordinary scientists but it focuses mainly on his relationship with his first wife, not that I mind romantic dramas when done right like say Blue Valentine. While it's nice it was fairly inoffensive and lacked any real depth.Last edited by The Situation; 11-12-14, 00:51.Profit before people.

Brilliant job by city to qualify for the last 16 of the CL. Mad to think that they did it despite only having 2 points after the 1st 4 games. If you told me that after we lost to Moscow (4th game) I would have thought you were crazy. No beast so fierce but knows some touch of pity, but I know none, therefore am no beast.

Also reading the Iron Rooster one where he just spent a few hundred pages shouting 'why are there so many fcking people in China, leave me alone' was a bit of a letdown.
Some of his fiction is excellent too. My Secret History and My Other Life are not even thinly veiled autobiographies so actually read like his travel books. The hero in Milroy the Magician reminds me somewhat of V for Vendetta. Hotel Honolulu is extremely funny.
Quite surprised he hasn't got the Nobel yet."We are not Europeans. Those people on the continent are freaks."

Every hotel in town is full of people and last night and this morning this one was crammed with politicos and their extraordinary looking entourages. Tonight its a ghost town when we got back a while ago there was no one around we didn't see a single other guest. Apparently thy are all gone out to a big stadium where someone will get a nomination and then they will all come back at about 2 or 3 AM when the party will kick off and then go on for days.

Does anyone know when the next episode of that Serial podcast will be released?
I have been enthralled by it I must say. At the moment I think he probably did it but I would not be able to convict on the evidence so far.
The two stand out things for me are the girl that said he was in the library, and the call to the girl that was only a friend of his. One good for him, one bad.
To be honest if I was on the jury I would have convicted based purely on the deeply annoying voice of his defense lawyer.

5 minutes into the first one it was clearly a straight binary choice one of the two did it.
Maybe there is more to unfold, there must be if people are still listening 8 hours beyond where I am, but jays interview make him sound dodgy as fuck.
Inevitably it will end up where we were after 5 mins... One of the two of them did it and unless one of them admits it then it's going to stay a coin flip that we will never know the truth of.Turning millions into thousands

It's going to be interesting to see how producers handle it. I haven't really looked deeply into the production costs of various producers or how well hedged into the future they are but they've got to be feeling pain right now. We're not going to be seeing $100 oil again any time soon imo.
