Was thinking about giving that a go after reading the news this morning. Is it as good as IMDB suggests?

When I was a kid it was the greatest thing there ever.
I guess it was well written but would be more interesting now from a socio - archaeological pov.
Jim was the coolest character ever though, an odd admixture of Dean Moriarty and Sam Spade that opened up an alternate look at the California lifestyle.
The cars and the girls were glamorous enough but he lived in a mobile home and had an answering phone This was at a time when you could get a phone line within 6 months if you lobbied your TD hard enough and it was a good twenty years before anyone here ever used one.

Meath were desperate today. Their backs were muck for the most part, they got cleaned in midfield and the Dublin full back line just owned their forwards. Game was over by half-time (generous appraisal of when it was over) and if the Dubs had been more ruthless they could have won by 30 points.

Dubs haven't gotten out of 3rd gear since the league final. This genuinely worries me for the All Ireland Quarter final if we get caught cold by a good side.

When Dublin have been poor for a number of years but ten it looks like they might win something they always get more crowds that way. All this success seems to be counter productive as people want to wait until the competitive games as they know they won't see one in Leinster the way things are.

Noticed that his parents weren't standing together today.

Could be something alright. They asked him about the £500 400-1 bet his Dad had on and I didn't notice anything in his body language so didn't think much of it. His parents were both in the same vicinity but weren't actually together now that you say it, which is a bit odd. (with Murray's parents - who aren't together anymore afaik - they were sitting in completely different areas and it seemed obvious (to me - take with a pinch of salt) that Murray definitely preferred his father to his mother).

As a Co. Derry man long living in Dublin who attended the Leinster Final today supporting my adopted county (having already seen them roll over my home county in the National League Final) i can't applaud the team and their supporters enough.

I understand that the Meath supporters around us were unhappy but the bitter, vulgar and sometimes violent bile spouted by a few head cases around us was a match for some of the crap i used to hear in the North in the 1980s.

It's only a game lads and Dublin are playing it best at the minute.

We had the most ridiculous good value deal today. Myself and MrsF came over to the UK yesterday for a couple of weeks with the kids for a hol and we're stopping in a few places on our way down to Devon.

Searched the internet a while back and booked a deal through Go Leicestershire for entry for the 5 of us into Drayton Manor and then the same into Twinlakes tomorrow. Overnight stay with breakfast in Burleigh Court Hotel tonight in one of the hotel suites so the kids have their own interconnecting room with flatscreen TV (watched Lego Movie for free) ,sitting area, fridge etc. Huge rooms with tons of free stuff for the kids and very friendly staff. All for only £159.

If that wasn't enough, we booked in for dinner tonight and included in the deal (if we wished) was a 3 course meal for the adults for only £20 and the kids ate free. Considering our main courses should have cost £18-19 alone, it was just such unbelievable value.

Yeah not that cheap at all. A family deal would have been £135 if we turned up and paid at the gate! The kids loved it and there's plenty to do for the smaller ones too. There's a heatwave kicking off today with temps hitting 25 degrees so it takes a lot out of you with all the walking! Got on most some of the stuff myself. Nearly shit myself on the stand up rollercoaster though
