@ ElSham Hotsspur and whoever else likes Radio 4 comedy type stuff
I really enjoyed This weeks comedy podcast The new Blur album (only a couple of days left to grab it ) I'm sure it won't be to everyone's taste but I thought it was very well written.
Hadn't heard of the writer John Osborne before will be watching out for more from him, I see he has something with Ardal O'Hanlon in it coming on to TV next year.Turning millions into thousands

Meant to be a cool venue. Shneak a Shnakey naggin in. Probably 20 pound for a drink.
£4.50 for a pint
Venue is a bit weird, reminds me of 3 different places in london + trying to build a history it doesn't have with pictures of bands in different places (looks cheap). Would be much better with pics of people who have played here and build it.
They were looking for a manager about 6 months ago, nearly applief , probably should have!
Sound system looks savage enough!

I've run out of excuses and explanations for the kids trying to explain the crazies in this part of town.
this guy we passed today (and got the obligatory question from son number 1: "what's that man doing?") was walking around in a circle in front of the supermarket cursing the government. He had in each hand a wheel tied to the end of a piece of stick, and was leaning into his corners as he was talking. he actually looked quite normal.

Originally posted by Hitchhiker's Guide To... View PostWhen I came back to Ireland first, a guy contacted me and goes 'Michael, can't believe we haven't met for ages'. So I met up with him. Didn't recognise him, but he recognised me. We've been doing this every six months or so now with increasing levels of drunkenness each time. Meeting him this evening.
The thing is, he keeps mentioning some of the things we did before, and I'm now fairly certain he never actually knew me at all, even though he thinks he did. Must be someone else with a similar name. Like, there's stuff in 'our past' about football matches we played. He is great fun to be around though.
I just try to change the subject when he brings up the past now as its an uncomfortable reminder that when we're out having fun there's another real Michael out there who really did actually know him in the past and who should be enjoying these evenings.
Have a friend that has the same name as you (obv won't mention for googling reasons). He's fairly boring and mundane, so one day he said something like "who me?" and I say "no, the other fucking [insert your name]". He says something stupid like "there is another [insert name] actually, I looked up my name on google before". I then probably called him a spastic.

Got chatting to a lad in work about the house rent in the area and money in general. Nothing too serious but he said he earns €1,232 a month, roughly €7.70 an hour. I asked him to quickly go through a guesstimate of his outgoings a month, which includes €800 on rent alone, and he is left with €19 at the end of the month. He pays all the rent and bills in the house. His wife who works part time for the same shit wage pays for the food and for their two boys, 13 and 10, to go to school. These people are from Hungary and are two of the nicest people you'd ever meet. Always smiling and joking in work. Have done their best to learn English and can hold a conversation no problem now.
I just looked at the guy and said he was crazy. I ccouldn't do that but yet he seems happy out. Unreal to think some people are living seemingly comfortably on such small money.
